I know some of you have this. It's more prevalent among the lardass sedentary folk among the population 'cause of how long they stay with their hips bent at a 90 degree angle (i.e. seated).

Go check now in a mirror. If you're ass sticks out like a baboon's and your stomach is arched forward like a preggo, congrats, you have hyperlordosis and likely some other related back issues.

You've probably found that a lot of clothes seem to hang off your back and front making you look overweight (or more so). And you may have knee, hip and back problems (lower back pain especially). Good news is that this shit is fixable in about 2-4 weeks.

All you need to do is the foam rolling and static stretches and a good 50-75% will be corrected in a week. YOU CAN THANK ME LATER.

what if I'm just fat? I honestly have never noticed anything like this, nor do I really care lol

ok if this is it:

I guess I don't have it. Woot!

Actually this happens to me but I've never treated it. Have had it since I was 8 years or even less. Used to watch TV with my belly in the floor and raising my head up to watch it. Slowly "turned" my back like that and I never treated. I look like an idiot sometimes because of it... maybe I should begin treating it as I also have lower back pain sometimes, though it could be because the right side of my hip is sightly raised.

As a skinny guy with a fucked up back (work related accident), I'm willing to try anything that may alleviate back pain. All the doctors I've seen thus far have come to the conclusion "something is wrong, dunno what"

this thread is a hypochondriac's nightmare.

Yeah, I might have this. I'm a skinny dude in decent shape but my stomach always looks like I got a beer gut and my ass seems bigger than it should for a guy.

I should try this.

This sounds great - I knew I had this already but had no idea how to go about correcting it.

I've been wondering if this can add some height by improving posture? My arm span is about 5' 10" but my height is 5' 9". I have mild scoliosis in the upper spine, but it never made much sense to me why I was that much shorter than my arm span. My dad is also 6' 4" which makes it even more suspect..

"it's awful, my asthma always acts up this time of year."

"oh yeah, i can totally relate, my LORDOSIS is really bothering me lately."

Started doing stretches a few months ago for this, I also have some seriously crap tendon flexibility, and it seems to help.

I'm pretty positive I don't have this considering when I look at myself from the side in the mirror my back angles outwards, not inwards at all.

This and the taint thread should lead to an interesting night for medical-GAF.

that explains my nice plump ass

seriously though i always thought i just had bad posture. thanks for the link OP, gonna try these out soon

If it's not painful, I don't see the big deal.
It's 'caused by tight hip flexors and quads and weak glutes and hamstrings 'causing the hip to tilt anteriorly and putting excessive load on the erector spinae of the lower back. Most people prolly can't stand for extending periods without feeling tightness or pain in their lower back. They also feel back pain after a night's rest and hip and knee pain after workouts or strenuous activities. Plus there's a higher risk of injury 'cause of the imbalanced anterior and posterior chains. Plus look at dat ass. Who wants to look like a baboon?
