Its Square Enix week on Gamersgate, thought you guys might want to take advantage of some of the deals.

Current deal since its already friday is Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light for $3.74 (RIGHT NOW!), can be activated on Steam.

No excuse (unless you already own it, and you better), cheapest it has been so far, get it. Calling Amirox to recommend it further.

Just Cause 2 going on sale at $5 also can be activated on Steam

For those who never used GG and want to know how to get the games on Steam:

After you buy the game on GamersGate there's an option to "show serial key" under the "My Games" section. A key will show up, you go to "Games > Activate a product on Steam" in the Steam client, put the key there, steam takes care of the rest.

Everyone needs to buy Lara Croft. Game is absolutely fantastic whether you have someone to play coop with or you roll solo.

Damn, Just Cause 2 is a steal for $5.

I haven't signed up for GamersGate before, is there an application like Steam? Or is it just this website?

They dont have a client, just a website.

They get some really good deals from time to time, its worth checking out.

All of those games are pretty awesome, except for IW (which is still an okay game).

Would JC2 key activate on Steam? Been meaning to buy that for a long time now.

Just Cause 2 & Lara Croft should both activate on Steam.

I bought Lara Croft a while ago, but I haven't played it yet since all of my friends have had some bizarre aversion to the game. Perhaps I'll have better luck getting someone to buy at this price.

I would definitely buy it........if this was for X360 or PS3. Oh well.

I have all of them except for Just Cause 1 and Deux Ex 2.

I still need to play Lara Croft, though, I've only finished the first two missions.

However, Deus Ex is my 2nd most fave game ever and Batman and Just Cause 2 are amazing games.

Is Gamersgate the one where Australians have to use the UK site?

In my experience, GamersGate only forces you to the UK site if you go to a page that doesn't exist for our region. I assume you also tried to visit the link to the BulletStorm deal the other day or whatever and noticed the region change to UK?

i was talking in general :P otherwise it sounds rather insulting

HAHA yeah I didn't take it the wrong way :)

I can confirm it all works great for Aussies as well, came to $3.67 (loving our dollar) and it's currently downloading on Steam.

What are these Blue Coins btw?

I just seem to remember it being mentioned in a thread; I didn't look at any Bulletstorm deals. That's good, as the US exchange is ever so slightly more favourable, though the difference between $3.30 and $3.80 is immaterial to say the least.

You can use blue coins to buy games if you get enough. They sometimes have deals, I got like 33% of my Total War Shogun pre order in blue coins as a bonus, which was enough to get Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm when they were on sale >.<

Notice how every game has a matching price in blue coins, with enough of them you can buy new games, using them instead of cash. You get a different number of blue coins depending on the price you pay for the game.

edit: thanks for the title change btw

Ah, okay. Well, for future reference, it seems that when using a direct link to a game page on GamersGate, if the game is not available in your particular region the server switches to the next region that offers said game. I imagine there's a particular list of some sort as Australians are redirected to the UK site first and foremost.

All of you had better get Just Cause 2 if you don't already have it. GOTY 2010, dammit.

I've had it since fairly shortly after it launched and I'm STILL playing it. Such an amazing game, and for $5 the amount of content you're getting is amazing.

Is there any reason to play the first Just Cause? I didn't even know it was available for personal computer.

At 5$, I think I'll buy it even though I'm still on XP. Will be EPIC to play it when I upgrade to W7.

Been using Gamersgate longer than Steam plus they have a lot of games Steam doesn't, lot of niche stuff like Aquadelic GT. Got Alpha Protocol there for free with the Blue Coins they give you for purchases.

Damn. Got Just Cause 2 a few months ago on Steam for 7.50 and still haven't played it.

And why the hell is Last Remnant never on sale when they have Square Enix weeks? The price tracker shows its never been less than 19.99. Even now its still the full price of 39.99.

the pc version is a ps2 port or something, I think. it's got a lot of bugs. it isn't really worth playing.

It looks like they took JC2 off of the sale. Maybe too many were being sold.
says "Offer expires in... 22 hours and 57 minutes" for me. jc2 75% off is still there. it's the europe site, same on uk site.

can Batman AA GOTY be activated on Steam?
no, from what I can remember batman on gamersgate uses a securom serial key. it's an activate once online per install sort of deal, with unlimited overall activations. I think the game also uses the games for windows live garbage online interface thing.

just cause 2 and lara croft "can" be activated on steam because they are steamworks games have HAVE to be. it's not an option, it's a requirement. you can't play them without steam.

JUST CAUSE 2 GET

It was $10 once, actually.

Does this work for European folks, including Steam activation? I'd buy the hell out of Just Cause 2 if so.
