The gameplay is a hybrid of action and puzzling, as Patty isn't afraid to blast everything around her into interstellar dust – but sometimes a more thoughtful approach is more appropriate. So when the situation calls for it, you can activate the siren on top of her helmet to use Officer Wagon's robot brain and interact with the machine matrix of Planet Land.

Doing so triggers a fast position-swap of blocks in the immediate environment – boxes that were in the distance get pulled forward, while those already in the foreground retreat to the rear. You can use this to your advantage by pulling the footing out from underneath baddies standing on top of boxes, or even smack them with the impact of a position-swapping block when they happen to be walking right "in front" of where it's about to be.

Wow, that looks great.

Judging by the current release schedule of original 3DS downloadable games it will stay exclusive to Japan forever and ever.

If WayForward was a Japanese company maybe.

It probably won't even come out in Japan, much like WayForward's other games.

Damn clever facebook design. Wonder how the game looks in motion :<
If you're familiar with WayForward's games, you should already know that it's going to have great animations. If not, let me tell you: it's going to have great animations.

Then it won't be released anywhere, period.

I was making fun of the lack of 3DS "Ware" releases in the US and Europe while there are already some games in the Japanese store, smh at everyone who didn't get that ;(

Any idea when this is coming out?

No. And I doubt anyone will know until Nintendo announces it's coming out a week before they put it up on the eShop just like with most other games on the eShop.

I'm guessing it'll be a few more months before the game is even done since this is the first time they've shown it. Maybe they'll let us know when it is done though.

So many things flying over so many different heads ITT.

Looks awesome. Will definitely grab, just like Flip Champs! and Milky Way.

How are the other ones? Good?
They're both pretty good. Worth checking out.

I was specifically asking because I thought Brave and the Bold looked really janky in motion. Boy and his Blob looked absurdly better.

That looks wonderful. Looks like the first thing I'd pick up on the eShop if I get a 3DS.

There was an interview with Matt Bozon in the July Nintendo Power issue. Part of what he said;

Matt Bozon from July Nintendo Power said:
Though [the levels] are longer and more action-packed than our previous Mighty titles, the total game time will be somewhat shorter, and here's why. What I love about NES-era games, and especially Contra, Journey to Silius and Mega Man 2, is that once mastered they can be easily beaten in a single session. Nowadays if I want the satisfaction of sitting down and "taking in" a game in one sitting, I have to look backward. We're going to try to change that, and embrace the pocket-sized appeal that's been lost over the years.

And the team is all from Contra 4.
