Gamecube Mario Tennis was awesome. Never understood why it skipped the Wii (the lesser port of the Gamecube version don't count).

Seriously, I hope Nintendo's pride isn't the cause of not getting some genuinely decent Virtual Boy titles to 3DS. There's only like a dozen of them anyways.

Why didn't we ever get new Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, and WaveRace for Wii? They'd fit the platform perfectly.

And now we're getting one for 3DS? SMH Nintendo.

But I guess we'll have to take what we can get.

Let me guess, no online? Why bother anymore. I love my 3DS but Nintendo just doesn't "get it". It's like they refuse to embrace online gameplay because someone beat them to it so fugg it.

I can't justify spending 40 bucks for a tennis game I'll enjoy for one playthrough and never touch again due to no online matchmaking....

That seems to be a trend of juniors lately, posting a picture in an announcement thread signifying that they don't care about the topic, probably for lulz and wicked edginess. The picture above and the NEAT.jpg are the most common ones I see.

Anyways, SICK announcement. Ever since playing 2010 GOTY Hot Shots Tennis: Get A Grip! on PSP, I've been jonesing for another portable tennis fix. Into the veins, Iwata. I need dat smack.

I disagree.

The amount of content in any given Mario____ title is usually pretty hefty. The RPG story mode in most Camelot Mario games gave them a lot of value, IMO.

My friends and I were just lamenting the lack of a real Mario Tennis/Golf on the DS & Wii (NPC Mario Power Tennis doesn't count). This was by far the best thing to come out of the conference!

Oddly enough, Mario Tennis may be what gets me to buy a 3DS, not 3D Land or Kart.

I pray it will have some resemblance to GBC Mario Tennis. I'm 99% sure it's my most played sports game and most played GBC-only game.
