Tales of Innocence R (Vita) - TGS trailer [Complete remake]

Since I don't have the twisted Stockholm Syndrome brain damage of a typical Tales fan, I can't tell if this is a good thing or not. ;)
What are you trying to say, Stump?

What hurtful words! :D

It's probably a good thing in this case, because none of us expected Alfa Systems to be able to pull off a substantial remake for the Vita.

It looks okay. I guess if it came out in English (it won't), I'd probably get it along with Ys Celceta.

How did they get away with stealing Trunks so blatantly?!

Was this the good DS one and Hearts was the bad one?
The general consensus was something like Tempest <<< Innocence <<<<< Hearts.

I'm not going to be excited for this game until I see proof the dungeon design doesn't consist of copying and pasting things.

...

Uh, I heard the new character is going to be voiced by Saki Fujita. That may make up for her not-so-great design... maybe.

See

This puts me in a bad position

Because Hearts was "the good one," that I can't argue with.

And Tempest was "the bad one," that's also clear.

The problem is, Innocence was also bad, just not as bad as Tempest. So it would be unfair to call it mediocre (unfair to other mediocre things, mind). It's just...better in comparison.

The remake graphics is not bad but the problem is this game (the DS version) was not good in the first place. It would be another story if this was TOH remake.

BTW it seems there's a new character there: a lady with an eye patch.

Vita is shaping up to be one hell of a system; one hell of a system. The third party support is staggering.

Oh my goshh, it looks so much better. I'm really hoping they ditch all the dungeon designs and remake them all, because really, that's the part that killed the enjoyment of Innocence for me.

huh, so why aren't the doing hearts then? Save it for later, or I guess the remake can fix the problems with this one.

What were its issues?

Huh. A new Kokia song nice! . . . Combat looks like RM D: After Graces F and Xillia, this is going to be hard to go back to. It's good that its a full 4 person party now too.

Interesting if its really internal. Wonder why they chose to revisit this if it's not Alfa.

I think the reason why they're doing this is because they wanted a game that can be remade but that wasn't originally done internally. In short, they're making Innocence actually part of the Tales NB family instead of an outsourced game now.

Would be awesome if Alfa System's involvement in this is little to none. The degree of graphical enhancement is pretty muchexactly what I expected, but not like it's hard for anything to pull of a noticeable leap from DS graphics, so oh well.

There's something about the combat that still feels bland so I'm kinda "meh" towards this, but what's really going to make me totally disregard this game is if the dungeons aren't being redone.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice it was 4 party now. Was too focused on how much better it looks!

And yesss, I'm so happy they brought KOKIA back. <3

complete remake?
good, at least it'll look better
hard to tell from the tiny vid
but the screen looks good

still HATE the inomata babies

Alfa isn't involved, it seems.

Internal? Weird, I really expected it to be from Alfa System. But then again I thought Phantasy Star Victory was going to be revealed already as well.

I've never really played a Tales game before. Judging from the comments I should skip this one, no?
It probably wouldn't leave the best first impression.

If you have a 360, get Vesperia. It's not MY favorite, but it's really good.

If you have a PS3, Graces comes out some time in 2012. It should be incredible.

Hearts would probably require a bunch of redrawn sprites to not be just a port and it definitely wasn't popular enough to warrant it.

What were its issues?
Oh jeez, where do I start?

The main character is pretty much terrible, the character growth basically stops halfway through the game, the dungeons are some of the worst in the series, the art starts off cute and quickly gets tiring, the main story concept never pays off in any meaningful way.
