anyone else find it weird that mario's hair is brown but his stache and brows aren't

In the other thread, someone linked this nightmare fuel, and I noticed, Mario has very light brown hair, but black eyebrows, and mustache. I never noticed this before in my life. I find it very weird.

One of my friends has brown hair, but a red beard. facial hair does that sometimes.

Though originally, Mario had black hair too.
 
It's just that the black in their staches is so intense that when I notice the hazel hair I get a little weirded out.

Quite common to have differently coloured facial and head hair.

I guess I just haven't noticed this. Like I've seen beards that are red from people who do not have red hair, and I've seen Mario renders for years now but I guess I only became aware now.
 
I was always weirded out by the black brows on Ken (And Guile?), but according to this thread it happens in real life so whatever.
 
Yeah, thought it was normal. Not every guy out there is like that, but I've seen a good amount and in some it looks kinda nice too. ;)

I thought he was like the son of a rich white dude and got sent to Japan to learn discipline or something. I don't know.

According to Wikipedia, he's 3/4 Japanese and dyes his hair, so yeah I'm right.

I have light brown hair (which turns sandy in the summer) and yet my mustache is black (with some light brown and white) and my eyebrows are dark brown/black.

What's really weird that though is that my royale (aka soul patch, but the musketeers had it first) is mostly blond

Yeah, hair can be weird. My dad has black hair and my mom is blonde. When I was born I was completely blond, but my hair has steadily darkened as I've gotten older--it's a weird color now, kind of a dark slate grey. Not quite black, but not really brown because it's got so little red in.

My facial hair is completely different. Instead of getting one hair color that's a mix of my parents', I have two completely separate colors of facial hair - blondest blond and blackest black, in roughly equal proportion.
