Dear GAF, stop using tumblr GIFs

They often contain the following elements:

Loop a few frames:

Spaz out like this and have a shitty watermark to let everyone know they made it and posted it at there shitty blog:

Don't even say what the fuck they're saying:

Or are oversatured as fuck:

Or worse, in black and white, when we live in the age of COLOR:

Now there are a few which work very well among the vast collection of tumblr gifs, but the majority blow and you'd be swimming through the mud to find anything worthwhile.

So I present an alternative: Make your own GIFs.

But it's easier to copy/paste the tumblr link than make your own....



and that's coming from a guy who makes his own.

That's what happens when you let stupid people use the internet. Make the tools too easy to use, and we end up with a majority of terrible, useless content.

Agreed, but GifSoup (and the like) are even worse. Huge file size, shitty quality, and branded with their website name. It should be illegal.

Never been to Tumblr, but I suddenly understand the proliferation of shitty gifs. I'm with the OP.

That said, I also hate things like gifsoup cause I detest watermarks, I'm a grumpy old fucker.

I hate those too, but they're much less posted than tumblr gifs.
