Mighty Switch Force (3DS eShop) Release Dec. 22 - For US, Europe, and Australia

Australia? :O

Nice, I don't have to switch regions this time. Will buy from the Aussie shop to help them pay for that OFLC rating.

Hey Way Forward, also put up a demo of the first level or tutorial or something. That would make me love you forever.

Simultaneous release? I didn't know Nintendo eShop supported such a feature.

It's won't be truly simultaneous, all the regions need to upload the game individually, it's just that all regions will do so on the same date which is hardly any feat.

Australia and Europe should get it at about the same time but the US release will be several hours behind due to the time difference.

But...But...I already made my year-end list! And a certain other game may or may not be on it!

WayForward, you spoil me.

Tweet seems to have disappeared. Maybe that US date isn't confirmed after all.

Any idea on the price? Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

Action or Metroidvania? The people need to know.

Action. There are 16 stages, each containing a certain amount of open-endedness, but it's not a metroidvania by any stretch. Bozon said they were aiming for something in the vein of Mega Man 2 or Journey to Silius - a game that you can blow through from start to finish in a couple of hours after some practice, but still has plenty of replay value.

Also of note: It's developed by the same team that did Contra IV, which isn't the team that did the first two Mighty games. At least, if I recall the initial Nintendo Power preview correctly.

They alternate, I think - Bozon's team did Flip Champs, Adam Tierney's team did Milky Way, then Bozon's team again for the new game.

Between this, Pushmo, SM3D Land, Mario Kart 7 & the GBA VC games, 2011 for 3DS is actually good this year.

Unless the game is an utter disappointment...WayForward hasn't let me down yet so it probably won't be

DToid says it'll be "quite a bit under the $10 mark". The two DSiWare games are 800 Points, Mighty Flip Champs is $6 on PSN, IIRC... how much is Shantae iOS?

Nice info mate, perhaps it will be around the same price as Pushmo then.

Damn, my CC is down since someone hijacked it and I haven't received my new one yet. Well, the GBA ambassador games will do until then.

Damn, I really hope I get a 3DS for Christmas. My first two purchases will be Super Mario 3D Land and a points card for this and Pushmo

I'm really happy about the $6 price. Looks to be well worth it. I was a little put off by the talk of Mutant Mudds being around $10 or even $12, that seems like too much.

Can't believe this will be so cheap. I'm all for it. I saw Cut The Rope on the eShop for something close to what MSF is going to sell at! >.>

Perhaps Mutant Mudds may end up following suit and going down the medium price bracket route.

If Shantae was that long and 12 dollars I expect this game to be about five minutes long.
This is part of the 'Mighty" series, so it will probably be as long as Mighty Flip Champs and Mighty Milky Way. They were around 3 hours long so that's what I'm expecting this to be.
