What is Indie Royale? said:
Indie Royale is an indie game bundle website that offers up four (or more!) top-quality indie titles every two weeks for you to purchase at seriously silly prices. All you need to do is pay the price stated - or pay more - and the games currently featured will be yours to keep forever.

The website has been set up by the creators of leading independent video game editorial site IndieGames.com and the makers of notable online download service Desura as a joint venture. We know our indie games (a little too much, some might say) and we know the games that are worth playing.

The point of Indie Royale is to put the spotlight on those indie titles which provide fantastic experiences, but may well have been passed over by a good portion of the mainstream gaming public. If you purchase an Indie Royale bundle, you can be safe in the knowledge that you're not only getting four or more brilliant indie games - you're also supporting worthwhile developers.

ARES was in the first bundle, so probably not unless it's a bonus.

Mmm you're right i've for forgotten this fact. At this point i've no clues about what games we will find, except for Nuclear Dawn. By the way, just preordered =)

platformer, arcade shooter - yeah, i'm down for this one too. last royale one was good.

i was just updating my backlog & saying i'd stop these goddamn bundles soon, but even then, i knew it was a lie.

not preordering blind, at this point due to Steam sales I probably own them all anyway.

one of the games is nuclear dawn, so this is a really nice bundle just because of that. in, i skipped the last bundle sadly.

My bet on the platformer is Max & the Magic Marker, looking at the Steamplay games tagged with 'indie' on Steam (by the way, they should add more categories like platformer or puzzle). The RTS/FPS is Nuclear Dawn as people have already pointed out and the puzzle one could be anything (I hope it's RUSH, from Two Tribes).

Not preordering, unless that album is stellar. I'd rather wait to know what I'm paying for.

If you would like to listen to the bonus soundtrack

i think i'll pre-order it....

pre-ordered
If its anything like last time if you're not on the ball you'll end paying more than the pre-order and getting none of the bonus (good thing I hate Christmas music...moreso in 8-bit).

Edit: What does award winning these days exactly mean?

Even the ones not on Steam? (there are usually one or two)

I don't know why but the first game that popped into my head for the 2D platformer is Death and the Fly.

It's on Steam, hasn't been in any of the bundles, but I don't know if it's award-winning.
But its not PC and Mac compatible. Searching for steamplay title under indie category would be a better place to start (in general for indie) but is making the fatal assumption of "it is on Steam"

Not going to pre-order, already got Nuclear Dawn (Check my OT!), wouldn't surprise me if the platformer was Super Meat Boy.

That was just in the Humble Indie Bundle, so that's out.

Anyway, I pre-ordered. Even if I do own the games, I'm sure I'll find people would would appreciate the games!

What are the chances of being Limbo ?

It is probably something along the line of N+ or Max and the Magic Marker.... but first time i read "award wining plataformer" i was totaly "OMFG FEZ !" ... then i remember that they would say " world premiere" with it =P

N+ is, as of yet, and probably never will be, on PC. Unless something changed?

Bought! What the hell, already spent too much on the Steam sale. I like to see more money go towards the indie games.

Thanks for the heads up.

Gotta wait, as there's a delicate balance to be struck between this and that Alpha bundle given my wishlist is littered with Alpha stuff that all seem like they could conceivably be a part of it.

Too bad they didn't get this bundle out before the Steam Sale ended. I know a bunch of people that would have bought it just to do the Nuclear Dawn Christmas achievement.

Gonna wait until this one launches I think, I have a lot of indie games on Steam now so I don't know if I'll end up owning some of the games already.

Max and the Magic Marker would be a crazy inclusion. It's $19.99 and never participates in Steam Sales.

I buy a lot of these indie bundles and only play them for like a week or so, never getting too far into one game or another.
That being said there is a high chance I'll be buying this one. Call me a sucker for a deal.

Worth it for album alone. More people need George & Jonathan. My purchase of it last year was totally worth it ^_^

I've talked with them before as well, awesome people

First game sounds like Sanctum which was in the original royal bundle

First game is, with 100% certainty, Nuclear Dawn, as confirmed by the developers. Also, there are no repeats from this bundle with any previous Indie Royale or Humble Bundle.

Something I really like about these bundles is they tell you when the future bundles will happen. Gives me something to look forward to since I've been happy with all of them so far.
