Indie Face Kick Bundle coming soon (8 games for 1 low price, activates on Steam)

That trailer and awful music certainly made me feel like my face was kicked in. So, I've got to give them credit for truth in advertising. With that said, it does look like a pretty solid bundle, and I only own one of those games, so if the price is decent I'll pick this up.

8 Games for $8
or
8 Games plus a shirt for $16
with free shipping world wide

Vote for the shirts at http://steamcommunity.com/groups/gamingallthetime

Hi! I have some questions:
What do the shirts look like?
Do you ship them everywhere in the world?
Do we have to pay extra for shipping?
Can we choose sizes?
Greetings!

"No extra for shipping, and you can choose your size.
We are voting on looks tommorrow in our steam group, you can join and vote then :)
Thanks :)"

Holy shit, that's one of the absolute worst trailers I've seen. Loading, spawn counting, fast forwarding, lousy music that doesn't fit - what were they thinking?

Wow. That was...something.

Before watching that trailer, I was definitely going to buy the bundle when it comes out, and give away the Steam keys of the games I didn't want on GAF.

After watching the trailer, I...I just don't know anymore. It's actually put me off buying the bundle, and persuaded me to wait for Steam key giveaways on GAF instead! It's so horrible that it's practically anti-advertising!

Way to make your bundle look like shit, Indie Face Kick.

Post Apocalyptic Mayhem? Has Sony seen this? I'm pretty sure that track in the trailer has been ripped straight from Motorstorm.

I must have lead a fairly sheltered life, because this is the first time I've ever heard of a marketplace for key reselling. Is there something that I'm missing? Because it just sounds like a way of getting around regional pricing differences. I don't get why people are calling it a sleazy practice.

Well I'm glad I didn't preorder the bundle. I was going to but the lack of a concrete release date or any sort of communication at all from the bundle organizers kept me away.

You should probably read this thread - http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=451542

I'm only interested in Avencast and Still Life 2, so it'll be the first bundle with Steam keys I won't buy. The trailer is godawful :(

Also, I'm with IrishNinja. Did you feel that something was wrong with these guys, Feep?

Not that it matters, but Valve requesting photographic evidence of a purchase isn't entirely true -- it's only requested in instances of support cases regarding used keys (e.g. "I purchased Left 4 Dead 2, but Steam says the key has been used. Help!"). Also, there have been only two cases of publishers removing/locking out games registered outside of the intended region: Valve with The Orange Box in 2007 and Activision with Modern Warfare 2 in 2009. Really, though, people recommending the websites without mentioning the particulars was justification enough.

Wasn't interested in the games anyway, and even if I was, I wouldn't buy the bundle after reading that.

No hard evidence to prove they've done anything wrong, but the whole things seems way too shady for my taste.

What's shady when the devs have confirmed they work in collaborartion with the bundle?

They way GATT is running this without any concrete information on how or when the bundle will launch, how they've reacted to the blog post by backlogjourney, the way they're doing giveaways on Steam and their connection to the questionable site selling keys.

All of that seems shady and unproffesional enough to me that I won't support them with my money.

It has nothing to do with the devs involved, but if I was one, I would pull out after hearing about this. It reflects negatively on them too.

In my opinion, even the slight mismanagement of groupees and the indiegala made them look bad and I'll think twice of supporting them again next time. If you want to run a bundle like this make it look and feel professional, like Humble and IndieRoyale are doing it.

I prepurchased it with a t-shirt.
Since all the developers have said to the backlog people they are in this bundle we can safely assume they are not selling cd keys but having ones made up for the bundle with the developers or publishers wishes .
They do need to work on their trailers but it seems that preorder people also get the games a day earlier which is a nice incentive .

Booster Trooper - this game is really bad. It might get some online activity when people buy this bundle, but honestly, it was DOA on steam and for good reason. The physics and controls are really non responsive, AI is way too good and it just isn't fun. Play soldat instead.

The other games I don't know so much about. Runespell is pretty good (own it), and Greed is okay, but sometimes I think that some of these bundles are a way for developers who have made games that haven't done so well (ie, due to mediocrity, like Dead Horde) to get some quick cash.

Runespell is pretty neat for anyone doesn't have it already. Somewhat interested in PAM because dat source engine.

They contacted me about Sequence...I declined.
Can you divulge what the payouts are like or what they projected if anything?

Oh...I see. It never occurred to me that the keys could have been bought using stolen CC's. Good thing I'd never heard of this practice (selling keys) before now. I might have had my Steam account banned from using bogus keys.

Well I guess this is just another reason not to buy this bundle. I mean outside of the fact that the games in the bundle (outside of Sol Survivor) completely blow.

Runespell is quite fun.

They haven't. This bundle is being run poorly, but it is legitimate.

Edit: Oh, wait, you're referring to "grey market" resellers. Carry on. :p

Just got my pre-order email. Greed: Black Border isn't available right now for some reason.

Yep, got mine as well.

One thing is that the page to redeem the keys is messed up: The keys show up in a continuous line of text without any space between them (other than the -). It's easy to figure them out and pate on Steam, but the first one is partially hidden behind the bounding box of the website design, but you can select it entirely if you double ckick on the letters that show up.

Oh well, they all work, so i'm OK with it. I wonder why there's no Greed: Black Border key yet.

Don't know why this would be a problem, but yes seems likely.

If, for example, they requested a certain amount of keys from Valve, got them, gave them to the Gala folks, and then had no more keys to give IFK and were waiting on someone from Valve to be in-office to be able to generate more keys?

So I never got my email from them after the pre order. I have the paypal reciept. Where is the support email?

Edit: Nevermind I think I found it on Twitter. It needs to be put plainly on the front page, not all of use want to use your damn twitter account.
