WOW! Impressive !

From Dust playable in Google Chrome browser - Takes our Breath away.

From Dust, one of last year's best downloadable games, is now playable in the Google Chrome browser. It uses the same Native Client technology that got Bastion and Mini Ninjas up and running in Google Chrome.

By way of celebration, Ubisoft has lowered the price of From Dust to £7.99 for the first week. After that, £11.59. From Dust costs £11.99 on Steam.

To get playing, head to the From Dust Google Chrome page and click the blue "Add to Chrome" box. From Dust will then download some files - install, essentially.

You'll need a fairly decent PC to run From Dust smoothly - don't expect it to work on anything just because it's housed in a browser.

Annoying, it requires Chrome 19 Stable release. Doesn't work with the beta channel.

I really hope they port the game over to touchscreen controls.... even when playing this on xbla it just screamed as something that would work better with a touchscreen (ipad and win8). Hopefully it did well enough to get a sequel because the idea of the game was and is awesome.

I was actually one of the idiots that bought the pc version after trying the demo on my PS3... worse money i have spent this generation, fucking atrocious port.

On the other hand... the PS3 version was all sorts of amazing

Chrome's Native Client is a way to deploy and run native C/C++ code in the browser. Performance should be similar to the stand-alone game.

Wanted to try it out, but getting only 8fps, the chrome process is maxing out 1 core.
Don't know what the hell it is doing.

(just to note: Bastion worked perfectly in the browser)

What's the issue with the PC version? I bought it on the PS3 but have yet to play it.

Why are people complaining about someone pointing out flaws that ubisoft was too lazy to ever do anything about. Game might be good but it could be better, and ubisoft deserves to be shit on for it.
