What? So it's a place to discuss something we can't discuss? Again, what?

edit: So no discussions here? just a catch all OP? I guess I can get behind this.

Subscribed, thanks man.

Ubisoft, Sony, EA and both post-conference Nintendo streams, all happen in the middle of the night for me, and I can't get days off work. So I'm gonna use this thread so hard.

I'll be unable to watch the conferences during the day so I appreciate these threads. I know the mods are conflicted about them and sometimes like to lock them, but I think they serve a real purpose.

The idea of this thread is that you bookmark it so you can come directly to it without passing through any forums that are full to the bursting with threads titled with all the major conference announcements that would spoil your enjoyment of the conference you wanna watch. Then you just get the link you need and bail out.

What if were looking forward to watching some sports game you recorded, but before you could watch it someone told you the final score and all the other stuff that happened?
If I can't watch a sporting event live I deal with it. Recording sports is silly because if the game is important enough the score will be everywhere anyway.

EDIT: I suppose there should be an MLB/NFL/NBA spoiler thread now too...

this thread is for anyone who wants to experience the conferences first hand without any forewarning about anything that was shown in them but cannot watch then live. Some people these conferences themselves are the main attraction of E3 regardless of what is shown. The general idea behind these threads is you can bookmark or subscribe to this thread, come directly back to this page without hitting the main page with all the announcements

I would say you're in the minority on this one, recording important games (mostly playoffs) is a common thing that's been going on for a while.

Yeah, I know what the purpose of a spoiler free thread, and I was actually asking for one a week ago, but then I saw the stickied thread and assumed that was it.

Wow. Spoilers for press conferences. You guys are the worst.

Every. Single. Year.

Read the OP people. This is a thread for people who miss the conferences live and have somewhere they can go and find links to said conferences without spoiling the content before actually watching them. Just like people who record sporting events and don't want the highlights/outcome spoiled for them before they watch it.

Once again, it is a great idea, and thank you for it OP. Another suggestion is to DVR the Spike/G4 broadcasts if you have the option/ability too.

Maybe so but I've honestly never heard of recording a sports event to watch later. ESPN app + highlights on Sportscenter caught me up on anything I missed from the last Devils' series.

Maybe that's what gaming needs. An E3 app with updates for the latest stuff announced as it happens.

Is Sony going to have ANYTHING worth revealing that hasn't spoiled?

All currently rumored (on almost GAF front page constantly):

All Stars on Vita
Cloud Gaming on PS3/Vita
Revamped PSN

There isn't anything megaton (objectively speaking) there but short of games we already know (AAA multiplats) about and focus on AAA Vita games (
AC Vita, CoD Vita, Killzone Vita
to name a few) - what else is there for them to wow people with?

Edit: Added spoiler tags

Spoiler tag those please. My surprise is already ruined.

Sony has the most in house developers than any publisher in the industry. Most of those developers are now two teams, each working on two titles (ie, Naughty Dog is working on "The Last of Us," and another, unannounced title. Guerrilla Games, and Santa Monica Studios are doing the same). You've only mentioned three first and second party related things.

What are Sony's other 14 studios working on? Not to mention the 2nd party studios that have exclusive development deals with Sony like Clap Hanz, Ready at Dawn, Quantic Dream, Q Games, Level 5, etc?

For me, it's not so much about being "wowed" by the E3 Press Conference, as it is knowing what is coming out for my systems in the future. I don't care when the announcements are made, as long as the announcements are made.

I'm interested in what Sony has in store for the PS3 and Vita. Once I get my 360 fixed, I'll be interested in what Microsoft has in store for the 360. I don't care much for Nintendo this generation, but I am interested in seeing what the WiiU is all about (hey, I'm open to having my mind changed by them).

Because the idea of a game announcement being a "spoiler" is crazy to me.

Seeing an announcement trailer is generally more exciting than getting that info in a thread title. Some people like that bit of excitement, when you're watching a mysterious trailer that starts out ambiguous, you're wondering what it was, and then it suddenly and dramatically reveals the main character of your favorite series.

That's it. That's the point of this thread.

If you don't care, then good for you. But there's no reason to bitch about the way other people choose to enjoy things.

Go shit on some other thread. Or better yet, just don't be a dick.

I don't think I'll be watching the press conferences live so I plan to record them on my DVR and completely disconnect myself from the internet and all friends who play video games until I get out of work. Then I'll watch them on my own time and totally surprised by everything. Did it last year and it worked out great!

Will watch Nintendo live, but I might use this for Sony's. Depends on how confident I am that they announce anything interesting to me. Current status: Not confident.

Perhaps add the time zone images to the OP so that people know when things will be going up and what they missed so far?

This thread will come in handy. Especially for the Nintendo Software one for me, I want to see those reveals if not live, then "live".

I take it archived streams are going to be added to the OP like usual?

Thanks, bookmarked. (Can't trust Subscriptions page to not have a huge spoiler in a random thread title)

Ah i love this thread every year when people come in and say "SPOILERS FOR PRESS CONFERENCES LOL WHO CARES, MY OPINION IS ALL THAT MATTERS"

Anyway yeah, may miss MS conference, so bookmarked

Awesome, was wondering when someone would make this thread this year. I'm going to miss the Nintendo conference so this will help me avoid spoilers. The best part about E3 is the conferences; spoilers take away that enjoyment.

I only have 1 worry. Its the reliability of the op. If the op decides or forgets to update the post, then we are all up shit creek without a paddle. Please dont bone us op.

Off the back of intensified speculation that Rockstar will bring to light its Grand Theft Auto V project, CVG has heard from trusted sources that the company "has no plans for E3".

It means that hands-on demonstrations of Rockstar games will not take place, and it is suspected - though not confirmed - that projects such as GTA V and Agent may not be revealed at any of the platform holders' E3 press conferences.

Link here

Welp, no Agent or GTA then.

Bummer.

Just like the last two years I will readily agree and support this topic, and bookmark too of course.

and just like the last two years I can't believe people actually have a problem with some of us wanting to watch the event directly before reading any of the topics, since not everyone is on the same time zone etc etc.
