We prepare for the Molotov cocktail of American holidays with fireworks fantasies, Cisco on Cisco on Sisqó, the unexpected legacy of Spec Ops: The Line, One Winged Angel vs. Freebird, the end of Radical, the state of Sega, launch-day server woes, and more!

I think I'm gonna download PSO2 this weekend.

Supposedly there has been strong hinting at a US release announcement coming sometime this week, so you may want to keep an eye out for that. I downloaded the beta and was able to navigate through okay, but it's annoying enough where I'm going to hold off to mess with it seriously to see if that's happening or not.

searching thread for Vinny confirmation.

Can someone confirm Vinny?!?!?!

Anybody not able to pull anything off of Giant Bomb right now? videos won't load, bombcast won't load or even direct download.

About to dive in, stoked. Hoping this week's emails can somehow meet if not surpass last week's.

Edit:

Seems fine to me. Streaming the podcast off the site was a bit slow at first but now it's fine (most likely my crappy internet connection).

Vinny is right. The new Walking Dead is god damn incredible.

yeah, Giant Bomb is being super weird for me. I get the front page but no files will play on site or even download. Both my computers. Cleared cookies. Only site giving me grief on the whole of internet and it's only one I want to use right now. What the hell.

Sega talk: Sometimes I always get confused whether they are talking about their personal opinions or simply popular appeal... then I realize those are probably the same thing (unless a game reminds them exactly of something they liked in the 90s/Dreamcast, back when they were into Japanese games generally speaking).

In any case, how quickly they forgot about Binary Domain. Poor Sega.

A slight correction for any of the Bombcast crew reading this thread:

Age of Empires Online only changed the way they sell things. Instead of straight up selling civilizations and other things, they have changed to a "point" system like the Turbine games. You buy everything with "Empire Points", which you can either pay cash for or earn in-game. I assume that like most F2P games, earning everything for free is doable, but pretty grind-y, or you can just pay to unlock stuff. So you CAN get everything for free, but it's faster and more convenient to pay for it.

Patrick seems to never last more than like 6 months in any one place.

I can only hope that he'll be departing soon. His stories this week were fucking terrible. He's just trying so hard to be funny and crazy but comes off sounding like a retarded child.

A slight correction for any of the Bombcast crew reading this thread:

Patrick Klepek is actually a pretty cool guy, and we hope he sticks around on the site for at least thirteen more months.
