Is there such thing as a pay as you go phone with a data plan in the state of California? To be more specific: I'm travelling from Canada to California.
I need to be on call via IM like 14 hours a day. No way I am using Rogers for this, it's a rip off.
My question is, is there anyway I can buy a phone around 60-80 dollars that has at least 300-400mb of data? can those phones tether internet to my iPhone?
Even if it's not a phone, is there a device like those laptop "rocket" internet sticks that provide you with internet connection?
I wish I could unlock my iPhone 4 with the latest firmware and baseband, but that is proving to be impossible right now.
Also those internet USB sticks aren't that ideal since my laptop isn't that portable and I cannot have it running 10 hours a day.
Bottom line, I would like my iPhone 4 (or equivalent) have at least 3G data connection with at least 4 to 500mb of quota while I am going to be in the US for two weeks.
Any suggestions, help is appreciated.
