Movies that made you cry (a judgment free zone)

Anyway, I just finally got around to watching Toy Story 3 and the ending produced a lump in my throat the likes of which I have not experienced in a long time. I'm a huge baby when it comes to movies and there are several that have brought me to the brink of tears.

Some of the others that have done it to me:
1. The Land Before Time
2. Terminator 2
3. Robocop
4. Frequency
5. The Sixth Sense

There are more I'm sure but I can't think of them right now. How about ya'll?

Studio Ghibli Movies in general are touching ... but oh boy this anime/movie made me cry like a river.

Oh and this one too. I can't even think about this one without feeling sad. I consider it one of the greatest movies I have ever seen, but I wouldn't dare watch it again.

I'll go one step further and post a scene from a movie that makes me cry EVERY. GODDAMN. TIME.

50/50 late spoilers

When
he cries, "Mom."
Ah! Can't take it. I cried violently during this scene in the theater. It actually hurt trying to not make any noise, but then again everyone else was sniffling too.

Still makes me bawl even if I just watch a clip on YouTube.

Recently, the PBS documentary These Amazing Shadows almost got me. The last 30min build up that ends with this:

Had me like: "F**k you Hollywood, and f**k your well crafted emotional masturbatory wankery, I won't cry, damn it"

I love some dramatic non-fiction. I think Man on Wire almost got me too.

I am so glad that I was sitting behind people during these movies.

The first movie that made me cry was Forrest Gump, when he's talking to Jenny at the end.

Since my dad passed away last year, anything with Father/Son or Brother/Brother stuff completely destroys me -- Warrior, did that to me today with both angles.

Plenty.

Toy Story 3, Notebook, Dark Knight Rises, Walk to Remember, Titanic, anything with a beloved mother or father dying really gets me too.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Full Metal Alchemist : First Movie
The movie where Robin Williams ages fast
The whole Metal Gear Solid movies
Titanic ''Jack, Jack, Jackuuuu!''
Blood: The Last Vampire
Spirited Away
Princess Monoke
Akira
Gundam Wing Ova

I have to see grave of the fireflies.

I'd say these are the ones that are guaranteed to make me cry every time.

Moulin Rouge! (I just sob every time)
Titanic
The Notebook
The Pianist
Edward Scissorhands
A.I. Artificial Intelligence
Inception
Beauty and the Beast
P.S. I Love You

Io no ho Paura. I don't see this movie mentioned a lot though looking at IMDb it certainly did get a lot of recognition. Beautiful to watch but the story developments are heartbreaking.

Amazing film.

(Only other one I can recall is Titanic. Suck it haters :P)

Judgement free zone? I think the first movie I cried after watching was La Bamba - Ritchieeeee!, but then again I think I've repressed all memory of watching the Fox and The Hound because it was so traumatizing.

Really, give me any sappy film and I'll become a blubbering fool. I blame being raised by my sisters and being forced to watch stuff like Steel Magnolias as a kid. Case in point, I'm a grown ass man now, but I cry like a 13-year-old girl evey time I watch something like I am Sam or Titanic.

Hell, there's a 50 percent chance I'll cry every time I watch a Doctor Who episode and that's just on television.

I rarely full-on cry, but I definitely get choked up pretty easily when it comes to movies. I guess I'm just a sap.

Up is the most obvious answer, of course. That opening sequence, holy shit the man tears.

Blood Diamond (near the end)
We Bought a Zoo (one particular moment due to the music mostly. Jonsi <3)
Atonement

Okay I didn't actually cry but I felt it at times during these movies.

It's a Wonderful Life

And Dumbo when I was little. Cried my eyes out at the scene where the mama elephant is separated from her baby, and she reaches between the cage bars with her trunk and... and... excuse me. I think I have something in my eye.
