We’re barftastically happy to announce that Critter Crunch, that crazy little arcade puzzler (and parenting sim?) made by the loving folks at CAPY AKA US, is coming to STEAM on September the 11th, 2012 AKA NEXT WEEK!

Critter Crunch arrives on Steam for both PC and Mac, and includes a pile of Steamworks features, all the beloved (and uber-competitive) online modes, and of course, beautifully hand drawn & hand animated 2D art + sweet technicolor barf.

And even better, it’s $6.99.

HOLY SHIT YEP BUYING.

If you're completely insane (or haven't play this on PSN for some other reason) you HAVE to buy this. One of the best PSN games there is.

Also, yes please to Vita version.

Thanks for the love GAF-pals. Super excited to see Critter Crunch hit Steam.

Didn't mention it in the company blog post, but it supports controllers on steam as well, for all of y'all that like the d-pad feel.

It's really awesome. But I never did finish all the puzzles in adventure mode before my old PS3 died. :( Y U LOCK SAVES, CAPY. :(

I'm really glad to hear this because I've been doing my best to re-buy most of my XBLA/PSN games on PC just for posterity's sake and in case BC is an issue or I opt not to buy next-generation consoles. Critter Crunch is one of the few PSN games I own that aren't published by Sony, so that's another one off the list :)

Loved this game. Would kill for a Vita version.

Absolutely perfect game for being on the move and I reckon the OLED would make it look even more beautiful.

So do you feel like you should have saved your $ to buy on Steam in the first place, except for Sony-published exclusives?

Also, did you import this? I been thinking about it:

Bought this yet too?

You've probably already seen it but I have a thread for tracking the solutions to these kinds of concerns here:

I'd also love to get ahold of the Tik Games and Creat Studios works on Steam or something physical too. So despite my preference for physical media I might buy this on Steam too, since I just trust them more than PSN, for no real good reason, honestly. I really enjoyed the demo fo this game.

I bought Critter Crunch on PSN almost three years ago. Can't second-guess stuff from that long ago for this little money. I had no idea Steam would be what it is today then.

But in 2012, I wouldn't buy a third party game on PSN unless I was positive it wasn't getting a PC port ever.

I used to own on iOS, for some odd reason it is no longer available. Pretty shitty, but this is good, hopefully it supports steam play

*edit* yep right in the 1st paragraph pc and mac

Well, that was published by (I think) a division of Disney, while this will be self-published like the PSN title.
This is correct. The game on iOS is out of our hands. The game on Steam and PSN is 100% controlled by us.

I'll hopefully be able to shed more light on it someday...

But in the meantime... You can play MP on PC versus Mac and vice versa! Go Steam!
