Hello GAFarinos. I'm pleased to present Episode 2 of Gamesies: on this very special episode, the Gamesies crew deals with their new parent company (it's Activision). Plus, we wrangle an exclusive interview with Epic Games' Mike Capps. Comedy, suspense, and maybe even a moral lesson, all await you on this month's episode.

I'd like to give 3 shout outs. Big thanks to Jake "virt" Kaufman for supplying us with our soundtrack for the episode - it really helped us out, and sounds fantastic. Big thanks to Steve "S0L" Lycett for submitting an entry to our Favorite Games segment - it smoked the entries we had prepared. And a final big thanks to all of the gaffers that commented in the Episode 1 thread - you helped us shape this episode, and your feedback was a giant help.

You have my full attention for the show
until the watch is gone.

Just Kidding, looks pretty cool actually.

Thanks to everyone that's commented so far.

What are you guys liking/disliking in the episode? We got some constructive feedback on Episode 1 in our last GAF thread, and I've love to get more on Episode 2.

Awesome, I always regretted not getting the watch when I had a chance. I will surely check out the show!

Damn that GAmeZ parody was almost the carbon copy of a video games show here in Portugal hehehehe Great show guys. The sound on the Borderlands 2 segment was not so great though. Maybe each one of you could record at their end and then edit all the parts together afterwards? I'm still not feeling the reviews part. I understand you're aiming for a spontaneous and not pre-prepared PR regurgitating speech but maybe you could pre-prepare to appear spontaneous at the recording. ;) Keep it up. I'm now following you guys on YT and twitter. I want to see where you guys will take this.

edit: don't include me on the watch give away. ;)

Yeah, the roundtable review still doesn't quite sit right with everything else. Not to the detriment of the show but certainly it just feels slightly out of place with how everything else is well-written and you're more like characters during the sketches.

The presentation of GameZ and the jokes were great. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Not quite as funny as the first episode. I liked the riff on popular tv shows about games, since it reminded me of Gametrailers and how they sold out really felt like you where making fun of Ign and other "journalists"

But the storyline of Josh getting kidnapped was just a big yawn. It seemed pointless and the episode would have been better with out it.

Btw Skylanders totally doesn't suck. It would have been better to pick an Activision game that does since they publish enough shovelwhere.

If you're going to make fun of Skylanders it would have been better to rag about how many variant figures they are making or something about scalpers on Ebay.

Great 2nd episode. But like some have already mentioned, more time could be spent on solidifying your review process. It's obvious you guys are still trying to see what works and what doesn't but you've got a solid foundation already and I only see you guys getting better and more refined with time. LOVED the GameZ segment but some parts felt undeveloped and lacked purpose. The overall format is unique and you shouldn't change anything about it. Just as long as you focus on the content and games, I don't see how you can't succeed. Can't wait for episode 3!

Finally got around to watching both episodes and it's actually pretty good. One minor suggestion though, you guys should get some sort of mic for filming the show. It's kinda hard to hear what you're saying sometimes.

Really enjoyed this episode as well, it definitely felt like a pretty good improvement in a number of ways. I agree that the Josh kidnapping story was kind of unnecessary unless there's some weird long-term meta-story being told. Also, the mic thing that has been brought up. Looking forward to the next episode. Five-Day-Later-Edit: Man I totally wasted that potential bump of yours. Sorry man! :P

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing - I tried to juggle keeping the show shorter with this episode, since I think most people won't watch a YouTube video if it's over 10 min. The review is definitely the weakest part, so we'll probably just cut that in the future, or go for an alternative that's more in line with the feel of the show. Thanks for your feedback, it's much appreciated!

Cool ep, awesome that virt did the soundtrack!

Yeah, he's a pretty great dude. Music sounds awesome.

Glad you liked them. We're definitely investing in a new mic. The Videomic we've been using is a bit quiet, so we'll be upgrading soon. Thanks for watching the episodes!

I didn't really like Skylanders when I tried it, so I just went with that. Angry Birds Trilogy was probably the more obvious choice.

Very nice giveaway! That watch is a 'beaut.

Funny episode, made me laugh all the way through. Call of DEWty being sponsored by Pampers was great. I had no idea about the Double Rainbow reference in BL2, gonna have to go check that out.

Haha, no worries. Glad you enjoyed the episode. I just got a new mic, so audio shouldn't be an issue in future eps.

That was hilarious, especially the GamesZ segments. Those were spot-on.

Glad you both enjoyed it. Our next episode should be hitting on October 31st, and I'll be sure to post up a new thread for it.

Here for the watch but i'm going to give the show a go now.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on it after you give it a watch.

I enjoyed the show. Had fun watching, I'll definitely keep an eye on it.

Awesome, glad you liked it!

Also, just a heads up - the 999 watch winner will be announced on Friday, so be sure to enter/post if you haven't already.

Man I'm still pissed that I couldn't get the Zero Escape watch because I'm Canadian. I'll take a look at this when I get home, at least for that Dreamcast bit.
