i dont understand what the creators were trying to tell children and all the fans who watched the show. Its like, no matter how hard you try, no matter how many people you may let down, all the preparation, all the pain, just ends in failure. what do you do?

I had to furiously stop my computer from rendering at work to type this.

Are. you. serious?

Because he was evil? It's nothing complicated and the concept of the bad guy always failing has been replicated for ages.

That there are more things to life than winning, and being possessed by winning may end up hurting your decisions in life. That, and it's shonen.

Piccolo said it once. He's selfish. He always only fought for himself and his own power and glory. He wasn't the type of guy to put it all on the line for someone else. It was Goku's love for his family that helped him find the strength to rise to the challenge that each major foe presented.

It wasn't until much later in the series that vegeta himself came to understand this

so he was evil for a while. but it wasnt his fault. He is racially segregated and used as a slave. He wasnt born evil. His father and all his family were murdered. Being raised in that environment develops his mind in that way. He did not have a mother to hug him, or love him. What do you think that does to a person?

He exists only for
piccolo dick
.

All that aside Vegeta was my fav out of all of DBZ. In my head canon, both him a Goku are dead even and my head canon is all that counts.

Well shit, all I thought about when I first watched DBZ was more like: "holy shit Vegeta= super powerful and badass omg explosions OVER 9000 thisisawesome".

His priorities changed, he could have easily conquered the galaxy when Gokou died.

Akira Toriyama said it himself that he really doesn't have a plan when he wrote Dragonball. He just made shits up as he went along.

So... it's all one big lie. There's no meaning to anyone's existence.

Vegeta is a classical example of The Worf Effect. He's used in all of the movies and the latter half of the anime just to put villains over. More recent examples would be Iron Man in Avengers: EMH or Killowog in Green Lantern TAS.

His priorities changed, he could have easily conquered the galaxy when Gokou died.

I don't think Gohan would have allowed that.

He'll always have the title of making the most badass entrances in the series (and then subsequently getting beat down within 5 minutes)

This looks like it's a tatoo on a fat guy's belly.

Having an ego and too much pride can hold you back.

Good always triumphs over evil.

Goku was just a prime example of a good-natured person, always willing to help others and sacrifice his own life to save everyone else's. He's a cliche hero.
