Hi Gaf,
I want to ship my car to Winnipeg. What are the best option? I am looking at MVS canada and Hansens. Anybody have used this? I want to ship some stuff in the car as well. MVS allows that. I want it as quick as possible. Any suggestions from experiences? Thanks.

Awesome. In terms of experience, I know a few friends who did so, but it was paid by the company. MVS is supposed to be very reliable, though no matter how reliable someone is, be aware of all the items in your car and make a list (with pictures).

People have had their cars broken into and items stolen, though it's always covered by the companies.

If you say that they allow items to be placed in the car and it's an easier way to move then do it. Most of the companies don't allow that.

Again: Pictures of car, and all the items; and make sure insurance is covered including handling damage, vandalism and lost or stolen property. Expect anywhere from one week to three for the car to arrive.

Mine is paid by company as well. MVS is what I am going with i think. I have not read anything bad about them yet. Thanks for advice. :)

Where is the car right now?

Oh and best advice: Always take before and after pictures, and make sure they cover any damages occurred during the transport.

Most shippers will have you do a walk around of the vehicle before it's shipped and write down any existing discrepencies, ie scratches or dents. After it reaches it's delivery point the driver will do another walk around with you and compare the car to the list of descrepencies before letting you drive off.

The companies try and protect their asses as much as you do, for fear of litigation.

yeah there is 10 point inspection but it is always recomended to take pictures.

Pay someone to drive it?
