Interesting comparison.

Can't blame people (except the iPad guy) but I don't really like how things have developed. Just look's weird.

Google glass type devices will hopefully make this less obtrusive looking, but I can't see this ever changing.

Why even take your shitty pictures? You know the media is taking great photos from better angles and then hosting them free on their websites.

Someone will understand.

I laughed out loud at the Oscars Red Carpet Event. So many people up in the stands with their iPads out taking pictures. It's awful.

People who take their iPads around and use them as cameras really wind me the fuck up. For some reason. That's what my iPhone is for. Or better still, my Panasonic Lumix. My iPad has its own uses.

I don't understand the hate (iPad guy, notwithstanding. He sucks.). It's a bunch of people wanting to take photo or video to commemorate an event. Seems pretty standard to me. Plus, it acts like a periscope! You can see over everyone's heads.

If you go to an event, but don't take pictures, did you really go?

It reminds me a little of that "15 Storeys High" episode, where Vince pays for a holiday but gets rejected from travelling - but he doesn't mind because it gives him a story to tell, and that's the only reason you go on holiday.

I'm not immune, I take pictures on my phone when I go somewhere cool. I don't really look back at them for personal enjoyment, I think that I just want proof that I went, to have a good story and show off to other people. (Though, I don't take pictures during the thing I actually go for).

I went to a wedding last month, and there were two iPads out during the middle of the ceremony taking pics and video. It was ridiculous, and I felt bad for the people sitting behind them.

Any comparable pictures of the various 70s popeifications?

Lots of cocaine.
