I got mine yesterday. I was talking with a friend about it on his bday, and we weren't even sure if that'd buy a hat for an avatar.
The funny thing was a week before my birthday, the LevelUp payment app gave me a 5$ credit to spend at my favorite Japanese curry joint as a birthday gift. I was surprised when I got the email for it.
Meanwhile I give MS subscription fees for Live, and all I get is 20pts and a message about how I should play more and get my ranking higher.
I recently got a Live card to early reup, but I sold it to a friend after I realized I've barely been using Lives gold features. Sony really has them beat when it comes to perks.
