A demo of this came out just a few days ago, and I just got hooked today.
The characters are surprisingly interactive despite being two-toned NES-style sprites, and they often have a lot to say that goes beyond talking once and forgetting about them. That a game can get someone to connect with (or hate) its characters is something that rarely happens within 30 minutes of a demo.
For those of you who are fans of the MOTHER series, or like those types of unorthodox, experimental RPGs, I highly recommend checking this game out.

I gave it a whirl was surprised at how fresh and deep it felt. This game was very different from the typical JRPG fare (despite being a clear homage to many themes in the genre).

The combat system is unique too, with attack/dodge action commands that are fairly straightforward but have the potential for complications later down the line. It's also one of few (only) times where I've found the nonviolent solution consistently viable.
