Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2 will be featured in the next Nintendo Direct conference scheduled for June 11, series creator Hideki Kamiya announced on his official Twitter account.

In response to a question posed online, Kamiya stated Bayonetta 2 will be part of Nintendo Direct "next week."

It's quite possible that will show. But Polygon still shouldn't report it as fact using a Kamiya "Next week..." tweet. (the article says it will be featured and even makes it sound like an announcement) He says this stuff every day and does for every Direct.

Maybe they should report on this too while they're at it. You know, just in case it happens.

He's been saying that about Bayonetta ever since the first reveal. Chances are that we might see it next week, but making a story out of what he has said every day for at least the last five months is beyond retarded.

It is, but Kamiya would be saying those words even if it wasn't. It's no different than myself making a post on a website saying Bayonetta 2 will be in Nintendo Direct. It's a big title and people want to see more, but there is no confirmation, and it's the same here with Kamiya's Twitter post. :D

I suppose it is theoretically possible that it'll appear next week. Knowing Kamiya's "next week in..." history though, I wouldn't hold my breath though.

Its funny and amateur hour that Polygon would report this without knowing Kamiya's trolling nature but there is a pretty good chance they will be right so lucky for Polygon!

What gets me though is that the news post takes it as genuine. You would think it would elaborate on Kamiya's trolling, just to explain that it's not 100% confirmed. This makes me think she doesn't know Kamiya's habit and actually thought it was a confirmation for the game.

It doesn't matter here guys, we win either way this shakes out. Either Polygon is inept, or for once in his twitter-posting tirade Kamiya is actually not trolling with a "next week....in xxxx". Lulz on one hand, Bayo2 info on the other.

How do 'professional' media outlets keep falling for this?

I mean the odds that Bayo2 will make an appearance this E3 are high, it'll probably end up being true, but to fall again and again for Kamiya's "next week" tweets... The REmake2 bit is killing me.
