I'm traveling to San Jose in a few weeks for work. Full disclosure, I'm attending Netroots. It promises to be a good time for us left-wing wackos, but I'm looking for some pointed advice on things to see/places to go/things to eat while I'm there.

Does anyone here have any insight on San Jose? I rarely get to travel to the left coast, and want to make the most of this time around. Thanks in advance!

Was born in San Jose, and lived there for the first six years of my life. After moving away I went back a number of times, most recently in 2005. Despite some of the nostalgia I may hold for the city(I still sport the diamond KOME stickers on a few of my possessions) I never want to go back there, it's such a dank shit hole, so glad my folks made the decision to move out of there.

The tech museum was cool, from what I remember. I only go there now for the Imax some theatre though.
