Sony Santa Monica will announce a new title during next week's E3, it's been revealed.

According to a report on VentureBeat, the God of War developer is set to stream the unannounced title during a live broadcast on Twitch next Tuesday, June 11.

Sony's press conference takes place at 2am BST the same day, where the game will likely be announced.

I hope it's a new IP. But on the other hand... Kratos would absolutely look INSANE on the PS4.

Announcing a GoW after Ascension got such a lukewarm reception would be... unfortunate. We already have a graphical showpiece with Shadow Fall.

Having Sony Santa Monica show up early in the PS4 life makes me giddy. They have always been late comers (Gow 3 etc). Arguably better at tech than even... *gulp*... Naughty Dog.

While true, God of War has to shift mythologies for me to be interested. The Greek well is well and truly dry at this point.

I want to see some flex on something other than GoW. It's fine, I've had a great time with the titles in the past, but I think we need to give the series a break for a while.

If it's another God of War I will punch a goat. Unless they were to change the setting, the main character and the combat engine (Norse God of War would tickle my fancy).

Sony Santa Monica are such a terrific studio, but their talent is wasted on shitting out yet another GoW.

Oh hell yes!!!! Maybe Sony won't need but a few third party publishers anyway. Their internal studios are for the most part amazing.
