You mean live action.

This. The only CGI trailer I liked was the Hitman one and it's because it had models in fetish nun suits.

I'm so fed-up of this crap. We're in 2013 goddammit.
Developers, do it the Naughty Gods or Nintendo way or shut up.
Are you scared of showing what your game really look like?

I still like the whole ending part where he steals the logo.

The rest of trailer was so-so, I am not into live action.

well E3 is around the corner.

I can't wait to see some gameplay of this. I still think I have a Physical copy of one of those games but I kinda want to play a bit for some nostalgia sake... Must check Steam.

Thanks for posting fellow GAFfer

I get the feeling that with all of these CG trailers recently, these developers are not confident to show off their gameplay because the games are probably not running smoothly on next-gen hardware.

It doesn't do anything for me. It's just marketing - there is a slogan "What's yours is mine" and every single trailer tries to show us this general idea with different images. Why can't you just show us some intelligent gameplay compilation. Let's say 1 single objective solved in 3 different ways and then get the slogan in there and say "No matter what you do in the end what's yours is mine"

I don't know man I'm not a marketing expert, but for me this trailer lacks operationalised vision. It's just vision without soul.

Yeah, read elsewhere it was live action. Not that it really matters because it ISN'T GAMEPLAY like I wanted to see. Until I see exactly how this new system works I will be cautiously optimistic because Thief is so close to my heart.

This stupid CG stuff is so annoying. You'd think we'd be past this point by now, but apparently developers still aren't confident enough in the next generation to depend on in-engine stuff.

I was hoping they got rid of the "What's Yours is Mine" thing. God I can't think of anything stupider.

Yeah, that is really cheesy. Maybe it sounds better in French.

However, the atmosphere, assuming it's reflective of the actual game, is perfect and reflective of what I expect from a Thief game. Would have liked to have seen just a touch of steampunk, but I'm sure it's there.

I hope the cut-scenes in this game are mostly inter-mission monologues from Garret as he shown observing a busy marketplace or tinkering with his mechanical eyeball or something. Keep it subtle and classy. Rest can be Dishonored style scripted events that we see from a distance.
