Did they announce if it's staying Xbox exclusive?


Megaton if Minecraft is Xbox One only, even for just a year. Xbox One will sell millions. Not sure if Sony was able to out pay Microsoft, I would imagine Microsoft would try their hardest to keep the second most played game on Xbox Live exclusive.

I really like Mojang, and Notch, but the guy officially makes no sense anymore, Minecraft on 360 was one thing, but for a guy that has been bitching so much about Steam, bringing the game to Xbone makes NO sense whatsoever.

Not exactly a system seller unless you're overly bothered about the 360 version's smaller world space. And you can still do some amazing stuff with it, that Beetlejuice rollercoaster was made in the 360 version, no?

There are many different versions out there, so there still could be a PSN/VITA version, just under a different name... "Minecraft PS version"....

I mean he has to sell his copies, as Mojang only has Minecraft as their money horse right now, but I think Notch should be quiet about his opinions towards MS and Xbox or he comes over as a hypocrite.

so minecraft on Xbox one, then notch tweets about how MS showing Minecraft isn't a good example of indie support, and also how he isn't excited by xbox one.

there isn't the installed base to make this a massive hit immediately

hopefully after the Sony conference they can announce PS4/vita versions. TBH I wouldn't be interested in either unless they connected to PC servers. A potential PS4 version would be most likely to do that I think.

Cross-gen version would be a nice kick in the balls. One version that works on PS3/4/Vita.
Going to be a sad day if Minecraft is the fastest selling Xbone game :/

Microsoft set up a team specifically to port and make the 360 version, most likely the exact same scenario here. I guess all it takes is Notch's okay and co-operation, none of his or his teams time but all the money.
