Fighting Games Weekly is the weekly discussion thread for all things fighting games. News, events, streams, videos, players, drama, everything fighting game related.

Don't know what to watch right now? Check the FGCPros Twitch Group or Jaxel's Stream Viewer. If you want to watch multiple streams at once, you can use Jaxel's customizable multiviewer as well.

This Ceogaming set is pretty good. Graph is good too but Full Schedule is putting in work. Punishing raw rapid slashes on reaction, cross up burn kick/ammy mixups, and Viper mixups for days.

Even in death, the FGC lives on!

Yeah, I know what you mean, but it's definitely going to be good. I feel much more encouraged to play Tekken Revolution with the wide variety of skill levels and such, but DOA5U seems like it'll be a much better F2P offering overall and I hope it's successful.

Part of this just warps my brain; I'm way too old as I can't even comprehend this.

If the rest of the industry is cratering itself trying to chase that CoD/LoL/PaD/etc. money, maybe fighting games really are better off staying small and lean instead of trying to chase the megabucks and die trying.

I think it'll be a better deal for the players... which means that it's going to suck for the publisher from a fiscal standpoint. The overall cap on what a player can spend seems far too low for DoA5U to work as a F2P game (although if they can keep putting out costumes, that may help).

Just thinking of F2P mechanics and economics makes me feel grimy as hell, ugh.

I'm not sure how something that was once insanely popular being surpassed by something else shows that fighting games can never "catch up".

It's hitcircles, so the beam probably doesn't have a true "beam" hitbox.
