The Fall Classic (TFC)

An East Coast fighting game tournament organised as a joint effort by Larry “Shin Blanka” Dixon, John “SweetJohnnyCage” Gallagher, Joe “LI Joe” Ciaramelli, and Eric “Big E” Small. Besides attempting to unite the coast, this tournament also serves as a qualifier for The Capcom Cup

Note: Online registration has ended for The Fall Classic 2013. If you’d like to purchase a spectator badge, you may do so at any time at our registration desk. If you would like to register for the event, emergency registration is from 8:00am-10:00am on SATURDAY, September 14. You must decide if you want to add/drop games to your registration by this time. If you haven’t registered for the tournament at all, the venue fee is $50. Spectator passes will be $20 for the entire 3 days and will be sold at the registration desk. See you in Raleigh!

Except I'll be working for most of the weekend and will only catch the late afternoon/night stuff :(

VF side tourney is at 4 Saturday. 3pm deadline to register.

Going mostly for that at this point, did enter SC5, but I'll be done fast- looks like just killers entered.

Haven't followed a fighting game tournament since EVO (hard to justify staying up till morning over here when there aren't as many top tier players/games) but this looks like a good one to get get back into the swing of things.

Would've been great if there were more international players coming for SF4 other than Xian.

Oh shit I forgot about the collusion stuff. This will be the first big tournament since the collusion rule was implemented. I don't think it will happen though.

Going to be a busy weekend for me. Going to be crafting/mining my soul away in ARR while I get salty at Chris G destroying hope and dreams. Can't wait!

I'll be there! Maybe by next year, I'll feel my XIII play is strong enogh to participqte, ha.Not happy with my Wednesday brawl performancee yet..

Confirmation: gettin in as a spectator will allow one to do eveything but oficially play tourneys, right? KI and Chaos Code are still able to be played by any attendees, I'd wager?As well as casuals?

I'd enter KOF anyways if I were you- NC has a bunch of good KOF players.

Yup, and I get a chance to fight lots of them each week! Every since early June, I've been meeting them at Wednesday Night Brawls, and even have been in a vid or 2 on the Tierless Heroes Youtube play.

I even got to bear witness to MCZ Xian playing last night with us. Was a pretty nice experience.

My Maxima / Leona / Chin team has been levelin' up quite a bit, especially Maxima, but I still feel a bit loser with Leona than I'd like, and I feel like I win with Chin more due to his unfamiliarity, rather than solidarity.

Is "emergency last minute entering" really that ok of a thing in tourneys? Pools are out, and I'd feel a bit jerky to force in like that...

(Ahhh, and I'm a bit annoyed they're doing PS3 play too, as I really only have a Xbox Stick... argh.)

Yeah it's ok, esp if you regged for other games- they just stick you in a bye spot. If you're desperate and you can see and you got your tourney match up, I got a dual mod, though I probably should get my stick worked on.
