Ok, my interest is highly piqued.
Yeah, not a huge fan of the 'Popular game the internet likes + Popular game the internet likes!' thing.
At least Limbo's a new comparison though. But, any of these games that mention Metroid or Dark Souls just always make me think of pleading for that hardcore niche attention.
The game looks cool, but I think you should mention its sci fi story elements more.

Nnnnah. Looks interesting, but I'm gonna side with the colourful universe inside of Jobbs' phantasy.
Limbo was cool and all, but it was also comparatively short and void of exploration (in a Metroid sense, most items you needed were really close to whatever blocked progress). A prolonged expedition on a sizeable dreary black-and-white map with Metroidvania gameplay will probably get me lost, bored, or depressed.
More Metroid is always great, though. Hope he can get this funded. I'll just buy it later on if it's OMGamazing.

Damn it you can create atmosphere while still using some color. I'm all for bleak color tones but this is literally played entirely within darkness.
Now way it can maintain my interest when it looks like that all the way. Hoping the footage was misleading in that sense. I'll keep an eye on it cause everything else looked aces.

Backed this earlier; love the look of it and they've just posted some gameplay footage which looks superb. Hope it reaches the stretch goal for Vita.

I loved Shadow Complex and even Deadlight, so more of the same is fine by me. I missed 2D exploration games.
