Proxy Blade is an action game with a deep combat system. You play as Fenrir: an advanced proxy blade prototype, fighting to protect humanity against a band of rogue machines.

You will have multiple attack types, dodge, parry, everything you need to face battle as you like, creating different combos on the fly while evading projectiles and countering enemy assaults with devastating counter-attacks.

If you like games like Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, Bayonetta or even Kingdom Hearts on higher difficulties, chances are that you will enjoy the gameplay of Proxy Blade.

The core of Proxy Blade is its combat system. The game has been carefully balanced to make every encounter interesting and challenging.
There are three distinct attack types at your disposal: Normal, Energy, and Power slashes (most commonly called White, Blue and Orange attacks).
The more skilled you will get at mixing the attack types, the more stylish your play style will be. Create long and devastating combos as you see fit.

But seriously this is the kind of indie endeavor I like to see. Genres that aren't represented very much in general and have a niche but enthusiastic audience.

I know there's a pretty dedicated community around DMC/bayonetta type action games so I'm curious if DSix has had any kind of input from them. Guys like Saur and such.
 
Amazing game! And being developed by just one person is incredible, I hope DSix can achieves the amount needed in the indiegogo campaign.

This might be the first crowd-funded game I sign up for.
 
You had me at DMC and sci-fi, I like both of those things. Good thing it ended there and not with the addition of Metroid/Castlevania or else I'd be obligated to give up my money, car, first born, first born's money, and first born's car that I claimed because I gave mine up initially. Either way, backed.

Anyway, I have been hoping for something like this for a while, now. Time for indies to pick up the slack.
 
I'm very tempted to withdraw my Cornerstone pledge and support Proxy Blade instead. Not sure I'll even be able to because it's an international campaign, not US, and I might not even be able to run the game on my laptop, but damn, I want this game to succeed

Is that frowned upon (removing pledge from a Kickstarter)? I missed out on helping Jobbs with Ghost Song and have been wanting to support a GAFfer project

Well it's one guy afterall. As long as the combat system is deep (which it looks to be) I'm happy to support it. Will support when I get some more funds.

Voted for it on Steam. Lovely animation and I like the score in the videos on the Greenlight page. Very impressive!

How long until not!Darkstalkers happens? Sarcasm aside, this looks really cool.

That's something I'd really like to do, getting feedback from the experts. I wonder if they'd be interested, I loved what it did to DMC3.
Though, I'd need a much more advanced version to do such play tests. There are still big things left to do.
 
Devil May Cry? Sci-Fi? Robots? Sold!

I can't donate money right now, cuz I'm broke. But I made sure to greenlight it. This looks amazing.

Frowned upon? Sure, nobody is too happy about the total going down, but there's always a few pledges that gets withdrawn and it's not like anyone knows you did it. If you're short on cash or just don't feel like backing anymore there's nothing wrong with withdrawing a pledge, and unless you put down several thousands most likely nobody will even notice.

DSix please let us mod the game so some kind soul can let us skin the main char as real Dante from DMC1-2-3-4 or Ryu. yeah not asking for Bayoneta as that chick likes hentai way too much ^^


oh and FUCK. i'm completely broke but i want the game T.T i'll lose my faith in gamers if this doesn't get overfunded..

i usually pirate games but i admit to owning DMC4 (didn't own a PS2 for those and after acing DMC3 on PC starting a new save would kill me unless it would be on my Vita, that would be insta jizz in my pants) and NinjaGayden and Bayoneta.. that said i'd like to actually buy this to support you man. we need SOMEONE to go out and make the games we like since aside from Platinum the other 2 fuck ups that call themselves studios seem hellbent on ruining our beloved IPs
