On the official Pokemon XY OT lots of people are asking around for friend codes for the safari.
I thought I'd make a one place stop for friend codes, and safari talk, as it can be easily get lost within the OT.

What is Friend Safari?
It is a Safari like the older games had, but it works in a sense that your friends friend codes gives them a type. SO for instance, you could have someone added on your 3DS, you go to the friend safari and their typing is Ice.

How many Pokemon can one Friend Safari have?
Max is 3, if they haven't beaten the Elite Four they will only have 2.

So how does it work?
Unlike the traditional Safari, you can use your Pokemon. Instead of Safari Balls, you use whatever Poke Ball you have on you. You can weaken the Pokemon, and then catch it, just like on Routes.

Okay, so when do I unlock this?
After you beat the Elite Four, its in a previously unaccessible town.

Please use this document so everyone on GAF can add each other.

If you add someone, make sure to PM them so they know.

I'm not sure actually. I've heard it has to do with the friend code.

Also, make sure to add that pokemon caught within the safari usually have one to two max IV stats, and usually above average-superior overall IV's.

Can you tell what "type" your friend safari is? Is it based on your top 3 pokemon in your slot or random?

Also if I have 2 friends with lets say the ice safari will I find all ice pokemon on one fc or are the pokemon split up into a bunch of different FC codes in order to encourage adding more peeps?

You need someone else to tell you what type you are and what 'mon you have.

For example, I have been discovered to be Fire and anyone doing my safari will see only Charmeleon, Pansear and Braixen.

Note that the third won't appear for people unless their game has seen you online. Then it triggers that it's open.

Each friend is a set type and set 2/3 Pokémon. That won't ever change unless they get a new 3DS as it's the 3DS Friend Code that generates this.

This means that people who don't even own Pokémon can be on your friend list and have a Safari for you.

AFAIK it's based off of your friend code number itself, so no to both.

I discovered that you can visit another person's safari, even if they didn't register you. You obviously can't get hidden abilities that way, but if you just wanted a certain Pokémon; you can do that...
