Great OT! Cannot wait. Loved what I played at Community Day and during my your, so I can't wait for the full game on Tuesday. Sign me up!

I hope they expanded upon the horrible and incomplete storyline of the Future Trilogy.

Also,
Angela Cross better make her grand return in this one!

Wednesday is cancel Last Guardian preorder day:p
We'll both have to call in to do so because we can't cancel partially shipped orders from BestBuy.ca. :(

Then again, I might not bother canceling it in the hopes they'll do it for me and offer me something. :)

Saw this the other day here in Australia. Just called Ratchet & Clank Nexus, pretty sure it was only AUD$40 too which is a great price point, same as Puppeteer was I think.

I'm almost finished Nexus (Australia releases a game before everyone else, for the first time ever) and I'd say it's an excellent Ratchet game. Those who felt burned by All 4 One or Full Frontal Assault need not fear.

Insomniac's last PlayStation exclusive... ;)

Seriously though, can't wait to dive right into some traditional R&C goodness.

It's really incredible what Insomniac can get out of the ps3. I can't imagine what a ps4 Ratchet would look like. :O

I hope this is as good as A Crack in Time. It's one of my absolute favorite ps3 games, and the best Insomniac title I've played.

About 6 hours for me the first time. QFB in comparison took me just over 2.5 hours. And Nexus is way more replayable.
That's good to hear because after finishing QFB I had zero interest in playing that again.

Was wondering where this OT was this morning. I got it ordered now for $19 on Amazon, had $10 gift card! Never played QFB, so thats a nice freebie. Trying to replay CiT before I get this one.

Does this end in a cliff hanger or is it the end of R and C? I will take my answer in a spoiler tag...just want a yes or no

Is Hard unlocked at the start?
Yes, 3 modes to choose from. Also after you beat it once, you get a challenge mode where you can start the game with all your weapons at the start, this makes a second playthrough feel a lot different. Also you earn a ton more bolts in challenge mode. I think you need at least 4 million to buy everything.

No cliffhanger, but there is something that could setup a sequel.
No story details

Never played a Ratchet And Clank game, but I just picked up tools of Destruction for $5 at best buy last week. Thinking about buying the HD collection. Do these games need to be played in order?

Not exactly but the character development is all chronological. I would play the Original Trilogy and the Future Series in order though. Its still best to play them all in order but you may burn out if you are just trying to get to the newest games.

How many planets have you visited?

Sidenote: jstevenson please make it so that when we're wearing armor, we can do so w/o wearing the mask... and the OG Ratchet skin should be available on ALL Ratchet games... no exceptions.

I only played the original three way back in the day. Which games since are worth playing? I'm finally picking up a PS3 this month, was thinking of getting GameFly and going through some games I missed.

Cool, thanks! Wow, just checking out the list of games, there sure are a lot of them. Guess I'll start with the trilogy and go from there.

Play
Trilogy + Deadlocked
Future Series + Nexus

If you want there is Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank.

Ignore A4O and FA

I played the series out of order, it doesn't matter too much, but you do get used to some of the later mechanics

Completed this over the weekend, and really enjoyed my time with it.

My first impression was not good on account of the opening level not looking very impressive and suffering from some noticeable performance issues.

Within an hour or so, however, the game opened up and began to look and play better and, overall, Nexus is probably the 3rd best PS3 Ratchet after ToD and ACiT. It's very short, it's framerate can be spotty, and the story certainly feels like a side story - but it's very good fun.

Full blown, technically-gorgeous PS4 Ratchet, please?
