Is Lego Marvel Superheroes 60fps/1080p on PS4?

Saw this got mentioned in the OT, could anyone confirm the resolution and/or framerate? Resolution doesn't seem that much of a surprise, but 60fps would be nice.

don't know, but it's Traveller's Tales

60fps locked is pretty unheard of for those guys.

would be a bit of a joke if it ain't (at least for the not open world parts).

It doesn't take much to get 60fps on a mid range gaming pc of the last 6 years for lego games, but i can see open world stuff struggle a bit.

Paging Digital Foundry.

Games looks and plays fine. I can't tell if it is or isn't but that is just as good as it being 1080p/60fps

My wife and I played through and beat the story mode this weekend. I would say that it's 1080p. I'm not sure if it's locked to 60fps, but I will say that I didn't see any slow down at all with two people on screen in any of the story levels or in the main hub. The game plays great and the only issues I had with it were some suspect level design and a few glitches, nothing regarding the resolution or frame rate

1080p, 30fps, youre gonna be hearing those phrases together a lot

yeah, my car looks a lot like a benz, i cant tell if it's the honda i bought or not, might as well be the benz

It's incredible how little information and impressions there are out there about both the PS4 and Wii U versions.

Not even close...

Having logged about 10hrs with the wife, I can say single-player, during open-world segments runs, somewhere unlocked between 60fps and 30fps.... and split-screen it seems the rarely hit anything higher than 30fps.

Still, its amazing, and plays wonderfully.

I've played it quite a bit the last couple days, mostly because my damn 4 year old keeps waking up and asking to "hit, and smash, and shoot Legos" lol. It is definitely not locked to 60 fps, especially in split screen. I've noticed frequent fps drops, and a tiny amount of tearing. Feels like an unoptimized quick and dirty port IMO, but its a very fun game nonetheless.

It does seem to be 30 fps, but FFS, it's a Lego game. I am not attempting to liquify n00bs online with my .50 cal pistol. ;)

It's also the best Lego game I've played, FWIW.

I'll give some quick impressions, then.

My daughter and I played the first 90 minutes on PS4. We've played a lot of Lego games on 360 over the years, and this one is clearly running at a higher res and a better framerate. I don't know if it's a constant 60 but I never saw it slowdown once.

We played the demo on PS3 a few weeks ago, and the PS4 version is clearly better, even in split screen.

The game is quite a looker at high-resolution an 60fps on PC, 1080P @60fps should be more than attainable on PS4 with this game.

damn you! i want 1080 60fps but i also wanna play coop and for that wiiu or ps4 would be the way to go, not pc

how is this running at the same framerate as last gen, unless they targeted 30fps? drop the effects down devs, [/not a dev]

glad it's fun and plays well regardless.

WRONG!

Lego Star Wars
Lego Star Wars II
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Lego Batman
Lego Indiana Jones
Lego Indiana Jones 2
Lego Harry Potter: Years 1–4

Are all 60fps games. TT only started doing 30fps Lego games starting with Lego Star Wars III in 2011 when they revamped their graphics engine.

funny enough, lego games are one of the few co-op full priced games on pc. Had plenty fun with my brother with earlier ones using a 360 pad + logitech pad (or keyboard when that pad broke :()

PC game is also msrp $30.

half the price, double the framerate!

Played a ton of this game over the weekend with my son. A lot of fun, glad it was one of my launch PS4 choices. Great looking, and very smooth, even if it is 30fps, which I assume it is.

It's 30 fps, across the board. It's brilliant too. 1080p native with great IQ, though not touching flower in the IQ department, it's cleaner than Killzone.

It is actually More like the difference between a certified preowned BMW and a brand new one.

The game does not require precision and strict timing in battles and I cannot tell if it isn't 60 fps . might as well be 60

The framerate is rock solid

Any more impressions on this game? I watched a youtube video and it looks pretty cool. That first Sandman boss fight was kinda impressive. Wondering if there are more big fights like that?

I played the demos for the PS3 and PS4 versions at the same. I was switching inputs on my TV back and forth. The game CLEARLY looks a lot better on PS4. The most telling reason is that I am on a 720p TV and it still looked a lot better. Much better clarity, great object motion blur and depth of field, smoother framerate (though its 30fps, not 60), more particles, and just all around much more pleasing to the eye.

I wouldn't say "wow, that's next-gen!" But it'd definitely a nice upgrade over last gen.

Game runs great on PS4 in pretty sure it's not 60fps though. It doesn't have the horrible screen tearing that other LEGO games have though.

I just started playing it this morning after downloading it digitally. It sure looks like it's 60fps to me, or pretty darn close to it. I think it look noticeably like a next gen upgrade.

I'll post some screenshots from it if no one else gets to it shortly.

Can't decide if I want the PS4 or PC version for this! PC version is cheap as hell on Amazon right now, but I want more games to play on my PS4. Is the PC version notably superior?

And no screenshots for the PS4 screencap thread?!

I posted these the other day...

I am having a blast with this game on the PC right now. The visuals are pretty cool as well. I'll be honest it is my first time playing the Lego games...and i am pretty shocked how much i been missing out on the fun with these games.

Bought the PC version for 12 bucks on amazon.com - amazing game and it looks good

PS4 version should look the same i guess.

Actually no, its nothing like that.

Surprisingly, the simple fact that not everything is made of LEGOs ruins it for me. It looks awful.

Everything not being made out of legos makes it easier to see what you can and cannot break(lego objects are breakable).

And there's usually a bonus level which is the over world but in smaller scale and completely made out of legos. Which is pretty cool as you can break pretty much every object in the level but visually the level's aren't that interesting.

This, along with Ryse, Max and Shadowfall have amazing PQ. I was floored when I booted it up, it looks so crisp and stunning.

To answer your question, it's probably 30fps. I have noticed a few stutters, so it's probably not locked.

Yeah it turns me off the Lego games for some stupid reason.. either go full Lego or don't go Lego at all.

well, in the upcoming LEGO: Movie: Game (duh!) everything is made out of Legos.

Pretty irrelevant as a game of this type being a platformer and not FPS will not notice any difference between 30 and 60 FPS while playing.

Why it's not 60 fps is beyond me, easily obtainable with the hardware at hand ..... even at 1080p.

Still a great looking game, surprised the hell out of me when I played the demo.

Of course you will and you do.

No, scientific studies have shown the naked eye cannot see faster than 30 FPS, however, studies shown performance may beincreased beyond 30 FPS, but for a slow platformer like this, it won't matter. It's not like COD that requires fast twitch movements and 180 quick shots.

Uh... What?
