By sequence, I mean music/song + visuals.

Right up there with:

Little Mermaid's "Part of Your World"

Aladdin's "A Whole New World"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJJog4BJrUw

Pocahontas' "Colors of the Wind"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvvZ1TEQRB8

Beauty and the Beast's "Tale as Old as Time"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ0ODCMC6xs

Cinderella's "So This is Love"

Tell me I'm wrong, GAF.

I agree that it looks like she's lipsyncing.

I don't think it reaches the iconic levels of some of Disney's best animated films.

But its closer than they've been in decades.

NeoGAF's smiling token!
Naw.

It has some strong moments in the animation, but the song sounds like it just came fresh out of a studio.

And did you really put it up there with Colors of the Wind?

I agree with you, OP. It's doing really well on iTunes, too, considering it's not something you'd hear on the radio.

The animations are stunning as well.

Yeah, it is great.

Especially the music, singing and animation when Elsa transforms into the new dress.

I'm not sure the song itself is as iconic or memorable as some of the others you listed, but damn does Idina Menzel never cease to amaze me.

She looks like she's lipsyncing. But she looks really hot when she lets her hair down so its coool.

During the film my wife pointed out that the lip syncing seemed to be off as well. Something was odd about it.

Brilliant sequence and song. The way her character evolved through it was beautiful.

Ghaleon did you ever post on the IGN boards? Your name sounds familiar.

But the song is pretty dull. The visuals look nice, but the song lacks the catchiness to make it Disney classic.

There's no way that Frozen will have the cultural cache of classic Disney films, despite the similarity between that scene and the others you linked.

Those clips reminded me of how great Aladdin looks. That animation quality...

Dang oldschool Disney really is pretty much unassailable isn't it. Going through all the songs in the OP, they're all catchy as a mofo and beautifully animated.

if you see me in a fight with a bear, don't help me fool, help the bear!
Sounded like a bootleg Sheryl Crow song to me...

Nope. The lyrics/singing isn't good enough.

"You think the only people who are people.....are the people....who look and think like you, but if you walk the footsteps of a stranger.....you'll learn things you never knew you never knew."

"You can own the earth and still....all you'll own is earth until you can paint, with all the colors of the wind."

i can't believe you would, in all seriousness, put it on level w/ The Little Mermaid's Part of Your World. I mean the EMOTION in that performance ALONE, puts most Disney songs to shame.

this song doesn't even come close to Ursula's Poor Unfortunate Souls!

I do agree with this.

The Little Mermaid numbers are on a completely different level.

Animation itself is beautiful, there are some great scenes there but the song is very average at best and synch is very off and it's very obtrusive.

paying attention to the lyrics of that song is like:

i mean even if you are NOT on Ariel's side and you're like 'just listen to your dad, dummy!' when she sings Part of Your World and by Part 2 you are totally convinced and on her side. LOL
