The year is almost over and 3DS played host to some of the best games of 2013. In this thread we share our most played games and total playtime for this year.

My overall playtime and most-played games (in hours)

Total Playtime: 310 hours

Fire Emblem: Awakening - 115:46
Project X Zone - 54:49
Pokemon Y - 51:21

If you asked me a few months earlier, I would have said SMT4 would be in the top 3 but I really procrastinated on making progress in that after reaching.

. Not surprised about Fire Emblem at all, I can easily see myself reaching 200 hours in it next year. The waifus aren't going to marry themselves you know.

Most played will definitely be Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate since my friends and I have been playing that weekly basically since release.

I lost everything from before June due to a mixup with Nintendo repair,so this is all post June 3rdish

I've played 59 different titles in 2013 on the nintendo 3ds. I didn't know I played so many different games this year. Last year I played for a total of 117:55 hours. So does this mean I will play for at least 400 hours on my 3ds in 2014?
Only time will tell.

Surprisingly even though the 3DS probably had its best year, I played less than either last year or 2011.

Got my XL in April and put in 246 hours into it across 42 titles, and carried it through 585,618 steps!

same thing happened to me! lost all my streetpass puzzle pieces and log info for all my games since launch.

my log since february:

1.) pokemon y = 49:33
2.) zelda: link between worlds = 48:08
3.) ocarina of time 3D = 43:30
4.) kingdom hearts 3D = 35:03
5.) super mario 3D land = 32:18
6.) steamworld dig = 19:10
7.) link's awakening DX = 18:58
8.) streetpass mii plaza = 13:12

the rest is under 10 hours

Holy hell how do you guys get 800-1200 hours in Animal Crossing since release? I've got like 1200 hours in Dota 2 and I play that for like 2-3 hours a night for 18 months

I think I spend too much time on the item screen, 15-30 min each chapter because I'm nitpicky about levels and once you throw in the support skills attached to the characters, it became a whole mess.

I have fallen asleep on Animal Crossing, but Pokemon is very real; it's easy to do many things when eating.

Does the 3DS count time even when you aren't playing; for example, you are playing a game and close the lid. And does the time you spend in start menus also get counted? My most played 3DS game is Ocarina of Time at 44.5 hours, but I know for a fact that I didn't spend that much time playing the game.

Counts all the time that the game is running and the system isn't in sleep mode
So the moment the game starts up, including all the splash screens, title screen, menus, etc. doesn't count when the lid is closed, though.

It also doesn't count when the home menu, or other application like the browser or miiverse is open. Well, it will count time for the apps in this case, not the game.
