Perhaps most are aware that Sony increased the price in Canada of PS4 to $450 prior to taxes. Today, I came across this deal from eBay (brand new PS4 + 1 extra controller + 1 year PS+).

The deal ends very soon and as such I was curious to know if it's a good deal considering what the base price now stands at?

Total price including tax is $543

Tax is 13%? Seems high

Controller is 60 CAD
PS+ MSRP is 50 CAD

So that would be like 450 CAD for PS4 + 110 CAD = 660 CAD before tax

Seems like a great deal

Yea, sales tax in Newfoundland and Ontario is 13%. Thanks for your input btw. I was thinking the same thing.

Just bought the PS4 less than 24 hours ago and I see this, argh! Great deal, I'm now debating returning my still unopened console to buy this...!

Given how us Canadians got shafted, you might as well go for something like this where even if the original price was $400, you'd still PSN+ and a new controller for $40 each. That's another rationale I used to justify my purchase just now (heh).

Dude, that deal is killer. You won't be getting a PS4 for $399 anytime soon with CAD being low compared to the US dollar. Go for it!
