Brands that are actually worth the money

"You get what you pay for" - How true is this? What brands or products are actually worth the money that we might expend on them? Are you paying for the product or for the brand name?

Brother laser printers are a little more expensive, but those things are built like bricks, never jam, sip toner like wine, and are all-around paragons of reliability in an industry that practically bows down to mediocrity and consumer exploitation.

Oh, and anything by Targus.

Lenovo Thinkpads and Sony mirrorless cameras jump to mind first. Apple Macbooks are a mixed bag for me because they have a larger price premium over other brands than what I just listed. The Macbook Air though is godly.

Sennheiser ear/headphones from my experience. I still go for AIAIAI TMA-1s because of the build but Sennheisers are in a league of their own.

Not really. I don't care much about the iPhone I have, or the iPad.

But the Macbook Air I own, and the MBP before it? Worth their weight in gold. Best pieces of tech I have ever owned.

I agree with this. They're built solid and they retain value really well.

iPhone 5. Worth every penny.

Apple TV. 90 bucks? Yes please.

iPad Mini Retina. So good.

rMBP. Nuff said.

Motorola Moto G is 1/6th of the price and is a stronger device with a more open and customizable OS. But yeah, the iPhone 5 is worth it.

I hope you are trolling and I've fell for it rather than you being serious.

OT: Nexus phones are unreal value. Some of the best phone tech around for half the price of most major phone makers. But then I discovered Oppo... and they seem even better.

Apple Computers.
No troll. Every Apple computer I have ever owned was worth every single cent.

My current macbook pro is going on 6 years old and still works perfectly. Needless to say, the same can't be said about any windows laptop anyone I know has ever purchased.

A Kindle Paperwhite really is about perfect. I don't have experience with other ereaders, but I can't imagine a better device. It even feels good in the hands.

Apple laptops.

This shouldn't be true.

It is. But it shouldn't.

It shouldn't so so hard to make a laptop that works. Windows 7 was almost perfect, then Microsoft fucked it all up with Windows 8 and touchscreens.

Microsoft should be pushing quality, battery, reliability and stability. Instead they pushed touchscreen, metro and other shit in our face.

So it's no wonder they are getting trounced on both sides. Apple are taking the high ground with Macbooks and Google are taking the low ground with Chromebooks.

Macbooks - Great quality, screen, battery life, reliability and stability.

Chromebooks - Cheap cheap cheap, reliable, good battery life and stability.

Nintendo

The games are mostly great and have great replay value.
And the systems are practically indestructable (GulfWarGameboy.jpg)

Logitech
The only time I replace their products are when the mouse gets dirty from the normal wear and tear of using it. Same way with their TV remotes I upgraded to a newer model.

I have a twenty year old pair of ray bans and a twenty year old pair of timberland boots. Both treated like garbage and both completely intact. Hell the shades aren't even scratched.

I don't troll. Ever. I'm staring right at my iPhone 5. Worth every penny. I'm glad you think Moto G is worth every penny. You should post about that instead of being salty someone likes [Product] instead of [Different Product].

Ray Ban sunglasses

I agree with this as well. Shades kept breaking until I bought Ray Bans. Years later I still wear em to work.

I daresay some apparel brand are worth the money, you can feel that it's more comfortable and tougher than your regular Wal-mart dress shirt or t-shirt.

Like Brooks Brother and Polo Lauren.

edit
Brooks brothers non iron dress shirts. I have saved a fortune in dry cleaning bills since converting my wardrobe to these.

High Five, bro.

This doesn't even relate to the question in the OP since Nintendo games are subjective and their consoles are just as cheap or cheaper than the competition.
