Hope they nab the second guy soon, and that the victims make a full recovery.

My wife is there right now, I'm kinda freaked out. She is texting me that she is ok but the school is on lockdown and there are all sitting on the floors in rooms with locked doors and the lights out.

Odd how the suspect wasn't shot dead or decided to off themselves during the shooting, wonder if he surrendered or was wounded.

Hopefully the families and friends affected will be able to be happy again someday.

Is there ever a real second suspect?

Not really, unless there is one.

What media and others reports are assumptions. So, someone in the crowd may say 'there might have been a second person, I think, I'm not sure.' Police have to take it seriously as if there is a second suspect. It gets called in, media hears the police scanners and reports it, despite it not being confirmed. Few minutes/hours later, all clear is given. yet the media will continue asking about the "second suspect".

My wife is right across the street from where it went down. She said the lockdown was damn quick. which is cool in itself I guess for response times.

Fuck, shooting sprees are the worst, hope this psycho get apprehended quickly.

Stay safe SeattleGAF.

You have my deepest sympathies, I hope your wife stays safe and makes it out alright.

Stay strong me.

Edit;

Thank goodness.

I work less than a mile from SPU, heard a lot of sirens a little while ago and was curious about what was up. :(

Hope the injured make a quick recovery.

Serious question. Will America as a whole ever wake up and accept the fact that our gun culture is a major part in perpetuating these national shootings?

Or am I living in a fantasy land?

Fantasy land. It will continue to happen and everything will be made to either blame guns, media, the mentally ill, right, left, up, down, but nothing will be done.

Gun culture is here to stay. A common sense gun culture will always be impeded by all sides.

I've said it before, if people were truly serious about gun reforms...arm every African-American citizen and have them all walk out on the streets at the same date/time; and shit will get changed the same day.

No, because you have a lot of people here pretending that this is all fine, and its no worse than its been in the past. That nothing is changing, that people aren't generally worse off than others (wealth wise, the distribution is laughable) that there is desperation, that there is a combined effect of misery, lack of healthcare, and promotional use of weapons to feel safe against all that mentioned above.

Yeah, but if blacks are shot for holding wallets/being handcuffed on the ground/looking for cigarettes/looking for help etc, what on earth do you think is going to happen for one that actually has a gun? I don't want us all to end up in those Fema family camps. :\ But you are so damned right. It really should be done, because you will see people doing 180's. This is in ref to the black panther party/blacks not initially being allowed to have guns in the military right?

Its the one way to do it, but not many afro-americans are suicidal.

Fuck is it about schools??

Gun free zones with lots of defenseless people in an enclosed space, makes it easy to do a lot of damage. Also an obvious place if the shooter is a student because they have a personal connection/vendetta against someone or somethin.

This is the most brilliant fucking thing I've ever read. You are so right.

Yea it's not particularly realistic and would result in a good 20% of the black population shot dead. And yea it's in reference to the Black Panther party.

Damn, a lot of truth in this post.

I constantly feel like something terrible is going to happen to this country, not like getting nuked or something like that, but that we're slowly coasting into the abyss and no one knows what to do.

Nah there are many people who know what to do, problem is people who want to keep the status quo have more money and are more influential; and have become very good at telling poor people the problem isn't the aforementioned but rather other poor people and minorities.

Welcome to mankind as a whole man.

I get the feeling the rich people that influence the United States and the world as a whole are going to get bit in the ass hard sometime in the future, but so is everyone else. Sad fact is they just don't give a fuck, they'll ride the status quo train until this world is reduced to dust and ash, live in luxury until the train goes off the rails.
