According to the latest target ad anyway. Knew it was coming but didn't know it was coming so soon. I assumed it would be closer to the fall. Apologies if old.

Appears to be the same box with the Kinect picture removed. Inside the box there's just an empty tray where Kinect used to be. Doesn't appear to be performing well at Amazon. I wonder how long before it starts getting a game bundled with it. MS timed the release of this thing to align with their E3 conference. So maybe they have something coming that they think will drive sales.

You could see this coming last winter after these consoles where released and sales of the XB1 was lagging. Did MS offer anything to early adopters like they did when they did this same price drop thing with the first XB. If I remember back then you got one or two free games.

I'm very surprised by the performance in Amazon's charts.


The Titanfall bundle skyrocketed once it was available for pre-order; the new Xbox One has only just recently broken into the top 100, and currently sits at 60.
 
I await the next round of retailer sales, since I had to pay a speeding ticket the last time.

they could have tossed in a game too.

Agreed, but it isn't selling either. So what is MS's plan to sell this console, stuff the channels and pray? Price parity is supposed to be their ace, but the market just shrugged.
 
At this point they're going to need to throw a game into the mix. They already have space in the box from removing Kinect.
