Chris Pratt should play Nathan Drake in the Uncharted film

It's been discussed in OT a bit in the Jurassic World thread, but come on! He's perfect:

He's talented, funny, super-charismatic, can probably nail the dramatic moments, and could have chemistry with a board of cardboard. Doesn't hurt that he's handsome as fuck too. Who else can wear a Henley shirt as well as Nate? I'll tell you: Chris Pratt.

Still think Gerard butler is the most obvious choice for this if he can do American accent. Or just make him Scottish, not a big deal as long as the personality is there

Plz no fillion, that guy doesn't belong in films

If only Nathan Fillion was 10 years younger.

But.... I don't know, use the magic of makeup!!!!

Yeah Pratt would be perfect, you can believe him as an action hero with some laughs. Cooper would also do okay but Pratt would probably hit the mark easier.

Depends on how much money Sony have to spend I guess!

Let's not pretend like Hollywood doesn't nearly always cast down age wise. Nearly everyone is playing characters 10 years younger than they are. Drake's already what, mid thirties in the first game? He doesn't need to be played by a spring chicken.

I'd say the issue is more if Butler can do comedy more than the accent. He's usually kind of a dour bore in most movies.

That's the scripts letting him down. I saw him on craig ferguson and he's actually quite a funny guy, he's got that natural wit. Plus rock n rolla.

Fillion isn't too old. He'd be perfect and besides, Drake in UC4 looks a bit older/worn anyway, so it'd fit. But so what if he's a decade older than the character, that's never stopped actors playing characters younger than they.

It should be Nate Fillion and no one else, dammit!

They should at least give Nathan Fillion the role, there is no denying they got most of Drake's look from him(so what if he is older now).

That is a common practice by ND, you can clearly see it in their concept arts. I remember one, I think for Tess, where they have 6 different versions of her and you can easily see that each one is derived from a famous actress, not to mention the early versions of Ellie.
