Ports you can't believe never happened

This is an old-school example, but R-Type, strangely, never came to the NES. It was one of the most popular shmups of the era. Big hit in the arcade in 1986-7. Ported to the Master System, PC-Engine, C64, Speccy, Amstrad, Amiga, Atari ST, Game Boy, MSX, PC-88, and X68000. But bizarrely, no NES. There was a later bootleg NES version made in China, but why wasn't there an official port? Just baffling.

Another really old example would be Donkey Kong Jr., which never came to the C64, despite it being released on everything else and the C64 getting virtually every other arcade game imaginable from that era. C64 got Donkey Kong, Mario Bros. and Popeye, but not DK Jr. There's probably been homebrews by now though.

An example from the 7th generation would be MGS4, which might be the last major third-party-published game released for Playstation but not Xbox.

What are some other games that inexplicably never went to a particular platform? Let's leave really recent games out of this, i.e., games that could conceivably still be ported, as this thread should be distanced from port-begging. This thread is, rather, about looking at releases that had every reason to happen, but never did.

Everything non-exclusive that not released on PC.

Oh yeah, Dragon's Dogma. It still hurts. Playing this game with a an average framerate of 20fps is tough for my head.

REmake. I'm playing it via Dolphin for fucks sake. Get your shit together Capcom, and release this game for all 3 current gen systems, PC, and Vita.

Dragon's Dogma and RDR on PC.
Okami HD on WiiU (audience, multiple controls possible with touchscreen wiimote, classical, etc).
DoA5U on WiiU/PS4/X1, even if I think it'll happen in the next "contain every DLC character and some costume DLC" edition

The one game i want an hd or re release of @.@

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on PC. The modding and balance patching potential could have been amazing.

Halo Master Chief Collection is another one, but it's rumored to be coming for the PC later on.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster and the Kingdom Hearts HD Remasters on Xbox 360. With the FFXIII trilogy and XV being released on Xbox consoles I thought they'd release the X/X-2 Remaster there as well to get some extra sales and build a fanbase on the platform. And with Kingdom Hearts 3 getting an Xbox One port and the KH Remasters being designed to bring people up to speed on the story and games it's surprising that Square didn't port them to the 360.

Also Devil May Cry HD Collection on PC. We have 3 (which I heard is a bad port), 4 and DmC on PC but still no sign of DMC1 and 2 (and a good port of 3).

I suppose the most obvious money losers, to me, are as follows in no particular order:

1) Destiny PC
2) RDR PC
3) Dragon's Dogma PC
4) Dance Central Wii
5) Rock Band's very late arrival on Wii

Most of the PS1 RPG's from Enix to PSN (Valkyrie Profile, Dragon Warrior 7, Torneko, etc.). They can't all be stuck in licensing hell, Square-Enix, I just want to give you money...

Killer Instinct 1 on the N64. I was so hyped for the Ultra 64 and the promise that what we saw in the arcade was going to be an exact port on the console. We finally got the real arcade version on the Xbox One but it's bittersweet at this point.

Other than that, X-Men and Simpsons arcade games by Konami were probably the most popular games that I couldn't believe never got a port.

5) Rock Band's very late arrival on Wii

Ah yeah, I remember now. In retrospect not focusing on the Wii for a party game based around plastic peripherals was a huge mistake. But then if you also remember the Wii (and PS2?) versions were missing a LOAD of features, including customizing your band.

The number one most obvious one to me is Killer 7 to the Wii.

That game practically cries out for pointer controls and would have been excellent with them.

Bayonetta 2, to any real console. Right? Guys?
LOL, please don't ban me
I am totally joking

Dragons Dogma does seem like a no-brainer to PC

Simpsons arcade game was on C64:

A WWE game for Wii U.

Nintendo has always had a great selection of quality wrestling titles, but since the arrival of the Wii U and the purchase of the WWE license by 2K, there has been no new wrestling game for the Wii U. It's really a shame :(

Soul Calibur II HD on Wii U with Link. I feel like nostalgia would have sold some copies and releasing before or after Smash would give people a traditional fighter to play as well.

I understand Japanese studios don't port to PC because PC seems to be a joke in Japan, but it's a bit odd when Western devs don't do it.
