One for the GAF grammarians out there.
So "memes" have been pretty profilerate around the internet for a while now. I was having a conversation with a co-worker about them and he said they're pronounced "meem," with the 'e' silient.
Now, I had always heard "me-me," like "me, me," to connote the highly personal and often self-referential meanings behind memes. I contend this is the more worthwhile pronunciation.
Mods, could I kindly request a poll on this?
I searched but didn't see any prior discussion of this. Please post your favorite "me-me" if old.
