What is going on?

Metatron is defeated, and Castiel now rules the roost as far as the angels go. While Castiel deals with his diminishing grace, Sam has problems of his own to deal with, mainly his brother Dean.
As season 9 ended, Dean was killed my Metatron. But, thanks to the Mark of Cain, Dean has been resurrected as a demon.
With the blade in tow, and Dean in full on Deanmon mode, the Crowley and Dean show gets started in full swing.

While Deanmon and Crowley live up the demonic life, Sam searches for ways to cure his older brother, even if it means becoming a monster himself.

Can Deanmon be saved? Does he want to be saved? Will Cas ever get to have that orgy? Will Sam ever get a haircut?

But the two most important questions:
Will they take the Deanmon plot and toss it aside to bring back more brother drama bullshit in a few episodes?
Will Cain and the Epic Beard of Power(tm) return?

Tune in to find out!

Supernatural stays on Tuesdays for another year. I am still waiting for it to go to Mondays and Fridays so it can have been on every weekday at some point.

The Music
One of the biggest things about Supernatural is its awesome soundtrack. While the last two seasons have not been as generous with their great classic rock offerings, the show continues to have one of the best soundtracks of any show around.

A listing of all the songs, separated by episode, in the show so far.

SPOILER POLICY

Spoilers are a sensitive subject on GAF. Episode titles and descriptions should be considered spoilers, and tagged as such. Rumors should be treated the same as well.

Once an episode has aired on the East Coast, then it is fair game and should not be spoiler tagged.

Speculation is encouraged and welcome, and should not be spoiler tagged unless it contains information NOT presented on the show. So if you read an interview and they mention something coming, spoiler that stuff!

Remember, if you post some major spoilers without tagging them, this could happen:

Speaking of MAJOR spoilers
Is good ole Gabriel returning? Set pics lead us to believe that. And Fiction cannot contain her squee!

I promise to keep up this season, I just get so tired of brother drama, you would think they would come to a understanding and just be passive aggressive like most families.

Nice OT.

Hyped for this season, hopefully they don't resolve Deanmon too quickly. Also hoping he grows a beard that rivals Cain's.

Because gatdamn, that's a magnificent beard right there.

My dream is for Dean-senpai to notice me someday.

But the two most important questions:

dont curse the season before it begins

Nooooooooooo I was happy with Flash at 8pm but they ruin my comic book night by putting this opposite Agents of Shield. Why do this, they must know they have a crossover audience.

I am disappointed that they didn't do Flash and Arrow on the same night.

I kind of thought thats what they were going to do so yea this is surprising on that count as well. i guess either way it would have been this or Arrow opposite Shield. I hate DVR'ing stuff. i guess i have to decide which group is better to live watch with.

reading the OP made me realise that...I never finished season 9 >_>

welp, its all spoiled now. oh well

And there we are.

I am sorry it was spoiled for you. I knew the comment would come up eventually. Took a little longer than I thought it would.

Again, sorry it was spoiled for you

It was a typo. Punishment from being super tired from work. I meant to say thread*

I know. I was just being an ass. I threw the OP together really quick and made a few mistakes due to being tired from work as well. And stressed about other shit.

But in the end, I know it's all cool.

I can't wait for this season, hopefully it's good enough to spawn either some spin offs or another 1 or 2 seasons...

People have been very vocal about a "Men of Letters" spinoff and the writers of Supernatural have shown some interest in Men of Letters (big MoL thing on the Blu-Ray/DVD sets) but for whatever reason they don't want to do a Men of Letters spinoff. Strange!

i just rather they used the men of letters more in the series. rebuilding them should have been done. and the bros could still go on their adventures, with a base to help them out when they need info on what they are going up against(like bobby) theyve really dropped the ball on that. as well as the thule and and the various witch organizations that theyve established in the same season.

I read somewhere a while ago that Cain probably won't be back for season 10 because the actor is busy with another show.

Which is kinda shit since he made Dean promise to kill him once he did Abadon.
I guess that will be another plot line left dangling.

Also it was never made clear if Heaven is still closed to souls once they die and is Kevin still stuck as a ghost because of that?

The actor who played, "Cain" is indeed involved with Galavant but the show is so far only 10 episodes, 22-minute long (with a possible order for more coming in January). I personally am confident that they could get him to do at least a single episode of Supernatural season 10 if they want to. I think he will show up again on the show.

Also E-Online spoiler about a returning character:

Rachel: What's the word on any female characters on Supernatural this season?

While females generally don't have the longest life span on this CW fan-favorite series, the show is currently casting the role of Claire Novak, a 17-year-old tough, angry teenager described as "punk-rock-pretty." Claire is sarcastic, smart and defiant because of her rough past: she has bounced from foster home to foster home since the death of her father and the disappearance of her mother (we're guessing from supernatural forces?). Even though Claire is always in trouble, underneath it all she has a big heart. Let's hope that heart makes her a survivor!

For those who don't know, that is
Castiel's daughter who is now age 17. This will possibly be a one time deal unless fans end up liking the new character.

Ooooh. Interesting spoiler.

And as for Galavant, it is only 22 minute episodes? Damn. That is disappointing. But the guest cast coming in and the talent writing the show and the music is what has me hyped.

Galavant looks fantastic and has a great cast. It's easily one of my most anticipated shows which is also why I am kind of expecting it to be a huge flop (it's the trend lately). Hopefully I'm wrong.

That is how I am. I am trying not to get too excited about it because I have a gut feeling it won't last long. If they try and push the Frozen connection it might work.

And if it isn't a huge ratings success, maybe it can live as a cult following show and survive on Friday nights or something.

thats pretty much the description of krissy

That description kind of reminds me of many women who have been on the show and we know their fate.

But then it's sorta the usual description you see for a lot of females in shows.

Great OT! Looking forward to seeing what they do with Deamon.

Wat.

Oh man next week is gonna be sweeeeeettt

I'm ready for another year of awesome episodes
separated by 5 episodes of filler and topped off by a scrapped together finale that isn't anywhere as good as the mid season finale was

I will watch this show until it dies no matter what

It was a joke CW.

IT WAS A JOKE.

YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO TAKE US UP ON IT.

Felicia Day said that she'll be back on Supernatural, but I don't know if that was confirmation of more Charlie or just a throwaway remark that she'll hopefully be back some day.
