Assuming that your company doesn't have an HR department (relatively small company). My friend is fed up with his boss. Long hours, disrespect, unreasonable demands, stuff like that.
Either talk to the boss one on one, quit, or just deal with it.

Have a professional discussion with the boss. Check the emotions at the door and talk straight business. Avoid accusations, finger pointing, and throwing people under the bus.
The boss may have some valid points, so it's important to listen carefully.

Man, you actually have the opportunity to do this in some parts of the world?
Last week, one of my co-workers was writing a script for me in order to ease my repetitive data cleansing work of our CRM which I found really great. My boss asked me (as I was in contact with the developer) how much longer the development of the script would take and I said the developer is being very "efficient" and that I was thankful for him writing that script for me. All of a sudden, my boss moans and says "Listen, be careful with your wording. 'Efficient' only implies he's doing it fast, not that he's doing it right or delivering quality. Be careful with what you say in the future.".
Eh, doesn't sound to me he meant that in a bad way. And he was asking for a schedule and you didn't really answer. Knowing schedules is everything to us. We need exact dates.
This is... What is this?
