Reviews (to be added)

Variety

For a show that started its life in orbit, “The 100” clearly isn’t content just to go around in circles. In fact, this CW sci-fi drama earns points strictly for forward momentum, launching into its second season featuring a fast-evolving narrative, with the space-faring human population returning to Earth and facing a new set of problems. Not everything works, and the performances remain a trifle uneven. But with so many post-apocalyptic cliches being juggled simultaneously, it’s certainly a watchable and ambitious undertaking, albeit one whose main job will be to defy gravity by not yielding too much of “Arrow’s” lead-in.

"I didn't see that coming."

I said that to myself more than once during the first three episodes of "The 100," which returns Wednesday on The CW.

The good news is, those shocks weren't gratuitous or unsatisfying, and they weren't merely there to shine a light on whatever wild plot turn had arisen in this brisk tale of post-apocalyptic survival.

No, what surprised me was how dark "The 100" was willing to go.

Still, the fast pace, multiple plot lines and life-or-death scenarios -- coupled with solid anchoring from Turco, Cusick and Isaiah Washington -- generally compensate for the show's clunkier aspects and occasionally silly-sounding dialogue. And if that's not worthy of a perfect score, give "The 100" extra credit for elevating its and the CW's game above the remedial quadrants of the young-adult universe.

For anyone interested, Netflix will be adding Season 1 soon (don't know the exact date).

So was this show good?

I dont think it really ever managed to get above mediocrity and it certainly didnt nearly live up to its potential (which is huge in my opinion). but the cliffhanger of season 1 was good enough to get me interested in what's coming next.

I'm hyped.

Also surprised to learn that
Jaha is still alive.

Something they said on his fate in a season 1 finale interview. Heavy season 2 spoilers for his character.

Will Jaha make it to Earth?
Now the lone survivor on the Ark, Chancellor Jaha sacrificed himself for the well-being of his counterparts, remaining aboard the space vessel while his friends stepped foot on Earth. Though Jaha accepted his fate, there's a faint possibility that he could make it to Earth. "It's definitely a season-two issue and one we're exploring now," Rothenberg says. "It will be incredibly difficult, if it happens at all. He's a man who's made his peace and brought his people to the ground. He's going to need some serious motivation if he's going to make it. It's going to be hard, that's all I'll say about it."

I'm down. I really liked him in the first season and would love to see him
retake him role as leader on the ground. I assume he'll find motivation when he learns about the other survivors on the ground? Or maybe when he learns of his people being attacked by the new grounders?

Can't wait to see how it all plays out.

I hope Bellami and Finn both get eaten by mutant eels this season.

I guess I should subscribe to this, I watched the first season but I didn't get super attached to it, it got a more interesting near the end but I didn't really get attached to any character. Still looking forward with where they go this season after the finale.
