Every so often, middle-tier band They Might Be Giants runs an Instant Fan Club (or IFC) for, well, fans. This year's theme covers their new Dial-A-Song project, which will see one song released per week for the entirety of 2015. People who sign up here will get access to each song, delivered to their email inbox, along with a host of other swag:

SWAG said:
All 52 songs delivered weekly (320KBS .mp3)
2 tickets to any one of their upcoming shows in 2015
3 signed, new albums
Exclusive shirt
Live from Berlin DVD from their Nanobots tour
2 balsa wood airplanes (wtf?)
Live webcast of one of their tour shows
Certificate, membership card, bumper sticker, other stuff
Secret stuff
Free shipping/handling within the US

The entire package is $98 for all of the stuff listed above, which to me sounds like a pretty spectacular deal for either music lovers or diehard fans of the band. Even if you are on the fence, they are doing a $30 deal for just 52 songs. These promotions on their site (https://tmbgifc.com/) will soon be up as they already hit their cap for 2015, but are keeping sign ups open for the next 6 days.

I nearly missed out on this for 2015 as I wasn't even aware this was a yearly thing they put on. As a massive fan myself, I'm glad I found out about it and hope that there are some other fans on GAF who might in interested.

I signed up for this last month, great stuff. The Dial-A-Song releases have been great so far.

Erase is pretty good, albeit a tad generic.

Madam, I Challenge You to a Duel is just incredible. If this is what their next album is going to sound like, I think we're in for something good.

(BTW: The actual Dial-A-Song number is back online at (844) 387-6962. Free if you call from work.)

For those who either missed the deadline earlier or weren't able to plop down cash for a membership, all of the new songs are available on youtube here. They have released four new songs, each being really good and all worth checking out.

I dug Erase, though I am a big fan of some of their catchier tunes and their album The Else. This week's song, Music Jail, Pt 1 & 2, is pretty good as well

FYI: the new TMBG album, Glean, released late last month.

Though it is mostly comprised of songs already released for free through Dial-A-Song, it's definitely some of the best stuff they've done in the past few years. Check it out!!

Album is definitely good! Has a few new unreleased songs on it too. You have a chance to go see them in concert yet? I'm going to their next show in Columbus this weekend.

Oh hey, month-long bump. Sorry about that!

Yeah, actually I'm in Cleveland so I got to see them at the Beachland Ballroom two months ago. Got myself an additional signed copy of the album (aside from the one that came with my IFC membership) to send to my friend.

I ended up getting one of their shirts and seeing a ton of IFC members there at the show in Columbus. How was the Cleveland show? No opener meant damn near 2hrs of TMBG. They really brought it this year too, though no Avatars of They like in previous years.

I'll need to look through my phone and put up some photos from the show.

Cleveland show was wonderful. The new songs were great to hear live, and having two sets was just crazy. I can't believe they're doing so much work this year.
