The Present:

It's been a long and wonderful 3 years since the first album. The support from this community has been fantastic and helped the first album spread from my bedroom into the world more than I could ever imagine. I could not be more excited. I am finally ready to start rolling out news and music for Album 2 (title not yet decided). For those so inclined, there are more than a couple demos floating around the internet, but for those who want the more official releases . .

I am pleased to announce the first single, "You Let Me Down". I'll be premiering the song and the music video Friday 1/16/15! No better way to start the year than releasing things you're proud of.

Stay tuned, I'll be posting production pictures from the shoot and process!

The Past:

OT 1 // ALBUM 1 Thread

Recorded over the past 6 months in a single bedroom, TIMBERWOLF is the debut album
of singer-songwriter turned producer by necessity/fellow gaffer Sam Young. One part
obsession with the old west, two parts raw and a third part open tuning, TIMBERWOLF
tackles the literal meaning behind "bedroom folk" and how much crying you can get
away with and still be considered a man. Or something.

Tuesday post!

Two behind the scenes picture from the first day of shooting. One of the more extravagant art pieces we created for the video. Taped out the words with duct tape, covered the canvas with red paint and dirt and mud. After it dried we peeled the tape off and voila. "COME HOME", a central message of the video, was born.​

Day 3: Setting up for the rain. Definitely unsafe, it turned out so great. The more guerrilla the better!

Gotta start somewhere I guess. I always wonder if I go way too overboard with it :-/ I've always hoped someone will like the music and product as much as I do so that it doesn't come off so insanely brash and more of a "you make art to share art" sort of thing.

Not going to necro bump this anymore until I have more new material, but the video is slowly chugging along, got some replies from some blogs saying they'll post it. Haven't seen it up yet, but I'm hopeful.
