It's a lot easier to optimize the shit out of your game when all your resources are focused on one system. You guys want the world and think you're entitled to everything.
People can defend watch doggy all you want but it... at a time..looked better than this or equal. Ubisoft fucked up and thats facts.

Great material settings on the road and stuff, extremely natural. A wee bit barren in terms of geometry and object density though. Nothing horrible at all though.
Curious to see direct feed uncompressed to get a hint at its AA solution.
Not what I said. But it's not fair to compare the graphics of a game with the depth of GTA, or watch dogs if we believe what we've been told to something like infamous. I don't see why this is so hard to understand. Just the lack of drivable cars allows so many more resources to be allocated on graphics.
Wow you totally missed the point. I don't want infamous to have drivable cars, I'm saying it's not a fair comparison.
lol them overrated graphics. i swear man, its like console gamers seeing this kind of stuff, they think its the second coming of christ. whats good about it? that dof? the details? its good, nothing mindblowing.
Who would have thought that a game developed for one system would perform better than a game developed for four (five, maybe) systems on two completely different tiers?
Another screen from the Playstation Forums, shows some pedestrians...The graphics are really impressive, but it gives me the same sort of impression I often get from other open-world games: Where are the people? Only the very first shot seems to have many nearby people, and I only see maybe 3 anywhere near the camera, with some others in the difference.
I never played any other Infamous game though, so I have no idea how the crowds typically vary.

Yeah more and more people getting their copies.Looks great, can't wait for Friday.
Where are these new shots coming from? Advance copy? Also, is that a new power in the last photo?Fire?

Yeah more and more people getting their copies.
Thats still the Smoke powers btw.
I'm just tired of that being brought up in every Infamous thread.
What is a fair comparison?
It's a developer team that has over 300 people (I think) working on a game vs a developer that has around 80-100+. GTA have 500 I think.
It's probably better till we see the next-gen version before criticising it.
Who would have thought that an 80 person team can develop a better looking game than a 500 person team?
More developers don't mean better graphics. In fact, it's quite often the opposite.

That statement makes me think you don't know how complex it is to program a game that has dozens of different varieties of cars, each with unique physics and a unique feel. It does change a lot. NPCs know youre in a car, the intractable objects react different to the physics of car, beeping your horn causes other cars to react. Do you really think that because the buildings look the same when your in a car that nothing changes? How about environments? Infamous takes place entirely at night no day night cycles, I believe the only weather condition is rain. How is that comparable? You're comparing apples to oranges. You can say theres a lack of driveable cars (and c'mon, what kind of a super hero drives a car?) and i can say GTA lacks the ability to climb every building, parkour, and super powers...none of which have anything to do with graphics (except maybe the powers requiring all the particle effects). When you get into a car you still see the exact same world, same lighting, same textures, same everything...its not like driving suddenly increases the IQ (or lack of driving).
An argurment that can be held here is the map size and draw distance. That I can understand, but cars? cmon..
I just remembered I have this preordered... yes...

I'm not saying it to bash infamous but it's not a fair comparison. The team size doesn't matter, we are talking about system capability. It doesn't matter what dev team was working on GTA5 that game maxed out the PS3's resources. Just like TLOU did, they just used those resources for different things.
More developers = worse graphics?
And the Ubi rep said they hope to reach the 2013 ps4 reference lol
im ready
Gosh that looks great.
Ubisoft really messed up Watch Dogs. I dont know if they are intentionally holding the ps4 version back to look closer to the Xbone and old gen versions but something must be going on.
Sucker Punch are not exactly a powerhouse of a studio either so I dont know how a plucky 100 Seattle team with a "So-so" technical track record can outgun the 1000+ person intercontinental dev monster from Canada.
If this is the kind of gap we can expect between Sony first party and multiplats then SCE is going to have a nice generation.
No. That isn't what I said at all.

This is probably the best looking game. No caveats.
