Anyhoo, Halo 5 coming just in time since I assume I'll be an Xbox One owner by the time this comes out. I admit, I'm not a big Halo fan, but it is Microsoft's premiere franchise and it would be a sin not to even try it.
Those asking why MS revealed this now and not at E3, I assume it's because they already have their plates full and adding this and the Kinect-less Xbox One SKU might tip their conference way past the allocated time. If you think about it, if this is indeed the reason, then we might be in for a treat. Unless, of course, MS squanders half of their presser talking about entertainment apps, how they're not losing to the PS4, teh Cloudz or something. But if Phil sticks to his word that their E3 presser will be all about games, well, we might be in for a good time. It's needed now, too, since MS' past E3 pressers were abysmal.

Some one said Jarvis is to Ironman what Cortana is to Master Chief (referring to that CBOAT Ironman image). Couple that with the obvious blue light and the way Halo 4 ended and I too think its her.

Looks great (very cautious optimism, it's still i343) but Fall 2015 is too late in my opinion.

People should really make that distinction when they say Halo 4 was bad. Most people are really just talking about the multiplayer.

In Halo 5 they should have Master Chief die in the first ten minutes and then you play the rest of the game as Arbiter because Arbiter > Master Chief.

I'm going to try to maintain a sense of cautious optimism about this one. I let Halo 4 hype run away with my expectations, and got burned big time.
The timing on this announcement is interesting. Could this be a reactionary move to shift conversation away from piss poor NPD results? Either way, good to hear more about the next Halo!

Didn't everyone have a bad April? Even Sony saw a drop if estimates can be trusted.
I think it might actually be a forerunner armor or of some sorts. Used in a lot of media, new is on top, the old is reflected on the bottom.

I skipped out on Xbox due to being a poor high school student, and Xbox 360 because I was a space constrained PS3PC college student, so this will be the first Halo I truly dig my claws into.
Unless they finally confirm Halo 2 Anniversary, that is.

Why should they be worried?...Everyone knows Halo 5 exists. They only have 90 minutes for their conference since it's being televised on Spike. Sony has more than 3 hours since it'll be streamed.
Microsoft will most likely have announcements and trailers, gameplay demos (CoD, Quantum Break, Halo 5, etc.). A lot of that eats up into 90 minutes easily.

Hopefully not, taken a lot of the wind out of their conference unless they have something bigger to show than Halo and the price cut plus Paywalls removal.
They're obviously going to show another Forza, some Halo for this years, tease Gears, gameplay of SO, and maybe QB. There's also Fable. They'll probably also show CoD, maybe the new BF and the Division.
I'm starting to feel their E3 is going to be rather boring but I'm waiting for then go prove me wrong

Exactly, the Halo 4 campaing is awesome.... Halo 4 is the game where Cortana popularity grew and became as important as Master Chief. Cortana is one of my favorite character of the entire generation (because of Halo 4).

I'm a fan, since the beginning and I think, that Halo 4 is the worst Halo game out there. The campaign was bad, because you have to read books to understand everything properly and the MP is the worst, because it was too casual'ized.
People say, that Halo 4 was a good game, but just not a good Halo game and I agree with that statement completely.
Please be excited.

I hope they do a 'HD' version of Halo 4 for XB1, I honestly couldn't enjoy it on 360 due to its terrible IQ. The underlying technology was awesome but the 'vaseline filter' destroyed the look.
